    Aloha,

Anyone have any recommendations for good covers in back for dogs? Seems like the wrong place to post this but it looks like this is where product questions go as well.

    Thanks!

    I use this: https://www.duluthtrading.com/scout...rs#start=6&cgid=duluth-gear-truck-seat-covers

Has held up great with 2 dogs long nails, camping, throwup, wet, bloody paws... you name it. I rarely hook it to the front seat as it just lays down in the footwell without causing a problem. Need a person to hop in the back... just unclip one of the straps behind the headrest and you have access to the seat again.

I like this one too and it's held up well for my pup who likes to play in mud and water. Only complaint -which is probably by design. It attracts hair so well, it's tough to get it cleaned off. I usually remove this at the car wash and spray it down to remove mud and dirt, but the hair always stays. One thing I've noticed, after washing if I leave it out in the sun to heat up the hair tends to come off a little easier.

I do agree with this but I usually just take our Dyson handheld to it and the hair comes off with ease. For the price though I can't think of a better option for full coverage of the back seats.

I ordered that one. My dog rolls in literal shit and dead things any chance he gets. The first day I got the cover and installed it, I took him to some local trails and he found some kind of dead animal to roll around in.

He jumped into the truck and rubbed all around on the cover, smearing it with the smell of death. After a drive home with the windows down and a dog bath outside, I just had to hose the thing down, washed it by hand and let it air dry and it was good as new.

There have been some minor spills in the back (water bottles not totally closed) and the cover did a good job about keeping my seats dry. I'm not sure how it would handle a dog letting loose its bladder, but for my purposes so far it's been great.

Also super easy to take in and out if you actually need to put people in the back.

I’m a duck hunter. My labs ride in the back seat . After hunting both the dogs and the hunter are are unusually filthy dirty with some nasty shit. I’ve had Marathon waterproof camo seat covers in my truck for 9 years. They clean up easy peasy. I recently removed the back seat cover and the seats look like new. No dirt , no nothing. Can’t beat Marathon seat covers for durability and protecting the seats.

I second Duluth Trading. Everything I have bought from them over the years has held up and doesn't seem to ever wear out.

We’ve been running a Duluth mudroom/playpen for years. It works incredibly well for large backseats like our full size truck or Sequoia. The mudroom can be used like a hammock where it goes from front seat headrest to back seat headrest or you can leave the front down. You can also leave the sides up or down. I usually leave the front and sides down in my sequoia since it’s massively spacious. When we only had the one dog, we’d put our luggage or sleeping gear in the backseat so it was contained within the playpen in the truck. She still had a ton of room. She liked having her own space.

I also have the standard Duluth which worked well in smaller backseats like my Subaru and Tundra double cab.

I got one from Amazon for 25 doll hairs. I have 2 large dogs and a smaller one. So far it seems to hold up well for the monsters

Made a platform for when we had two labs. Only got one now so he has plenty of space to himself.

Wheels/ tires, tint, level kit. Rock crawler rails. 3- 6" procomp lights with light bar on front bumper. Magnaflow # 12256 stainless muffler. Billet shorty antenna.
I bought my back seat cover for my truck and dog on Amazon but I’ll have to get back to you in where exactly but it’s a good one because it has straps that connect to the back seat head rests and the driver and passenger seat head rests so if you have to slam on the brakes for a dumbass minivan driver than your pooch won’t fall off the back seat and onto the floor, plus it also comes with a strap that connects to your dogs collar or harness and plugs into your rear seat belt clip so their on a short strap to keep them in place. I’ll get the name of it to you asap but I bought one for my Tacoma and my wife’s SUV

Exactly what I usually do is just vacuum it but yesterday I went crazy and actually threw it in the washing machine and then the dryer with a Bounce sheet and how my dog thinks my truck is her new bed which it is anyway but whatever. Lol

Use your washer & dryer at home and it gets all the hair off and comes out like new

This worked great in Dad's Tacoma with the border collie, and after I brought it home, it did take a while to clean out the border collie hair. I second that (except I'd avoid transferring the hair mats to the washer & dryer).

Try Amazon where there are several different styles that fully cover the seat and seat back to a full "hammock" style cover. (There Amazon, will you now let me post product comments on your site that I've been locked out on for "Unusual Activity"? Honestly, I WAS NOT naked when I made those posts!

I quit buying from Amazon when I found the same deals elsewhere that had real people enjoying and taking pride in their work, like Sweetwater adding a bag of "thank you" candy when I order something at the same or lower price than Amazon. I have tried to leave good comments about a number of the products they carry, but Amazon's algorithm locks me out as I haven't spent enough $ with them in the past three months.
    <G> Their loss...

Mele Kalikimaka, Hauoli Makahiki Hou! and Mahalo, Lyle for the question. Duluth Trading makes great stuff!

(We lived in Kailua 96734 during 1965-1968, and I was surprised that I remembered some of the Hawaiian that I learned back in grades 5-7.)
