I have the JD long travel and pivot kit. I am still waiting for my steering kit to come, so I never bothered to lock in the alignment until it's all finished. I've been getting pretty rowdy with it, and the alignment hasn't moved at all, so it's not like it's a mandatory thing.

Also, JBA arms are so bad. My friend has them and blows both ball joints every few months, and blows his stock LCA bushings every 8 months or so. We are going to put in the JD UCA's and LCA pivot kit which should make it pretty much bomb proof until he can afford the full LT treatment.

For those wanting to fit 37’s with minimal trimming. I’m about to release my new kit

That’s good to know. I wouldn’t be so hesitant to lock it in if I felt I could get a decent alignment around here from shit getting knocked out. I’ve probably paid for two pivot kits worth of alignments by now. I want to weld the damn cams in place

So I was talking with the shop today about the cross bar for the DCLB and it sounds like I'll be putting it together as is for now and then seeing about modifying it to move that bar further into the bed out of the way. I'll let you know what I find out since you had mentioned moving to the 62 swap on down the road.

Which bar are you meaning? I actually just ordered the rear Sua kit, as well as the front slide rack and Howe pump for my truck too, but I'll need to cut off all my old 63 swap stuff. I'm re-using my bed cage (after modifying it) and 16" shocks though, as I already have huge holes in the bed anyway

Think Harry adds a bar that runs across the bed to tie in his underbed shock towers. Not an issue with you if you are using a bed cage

@WormSquirts This is the cross bar that @Slashaar is referring to. Designed for the short bed. On the long bed, it will be about 11-13 inches back off the front of the box. To gain some bed space back, he was mentioning having a custom one made that was tailored to the long box. I’m curious on this as well as I’m interested in the kit once I’m finished with the front and I’m LB as well.

I'll let you know, I'll work with JD Fab and Harry to see what we can come up with. At current I have a toolbox in the bed so I'm super concerned just running as-is, but I'm always game to play around and make something that works better.

haha I probably could have guessed that was the bar you were meaning. But yeah, I won't be needing that :) Look forward to seeing yours all dialed in though!
