So for those who all care. Staircase campground and nf24 are open, camping hiking all open now. Thinking about spending the weekend there. Nice spots with bathrooms.

well , some of us aren't animals and like a nice seat to poop. But I will admit, a nice poop in the woods while aliens watch is pretty cool.

I’m not saying that I’ve decided to take a bath on mushrooms and when the water got cold i started to drain the tub and felt like my soul was getting sucked down with the water but...i was taken out of a bathtub that night shivering and cold...

Also, trees CAN be good or bad

Bunch of stuff bolted on, some cool, some not
How thick is that stuff? It looks very stout, what are you cutting it with? I've been wanting to try putting some stuff together but I have no idea what I'm doing. That's looking great!

The angle is 1/4” and the side plates are 3/16”. The angle is going to hold the load, so I’m going to weld on the inside and outside, rather overbuild it.

This was all done with a bit of light spray paint on the 3/16” to see the scribe lines and a cutoff wheel

Hopefully you’ll have the correct size mounting surfaces for the hinge and latch. These plates are just so i have a good place to start the actual work

After over 250 miles with the new tires I’m figuring I’m right around 14-15 MPG’s on average. That’s while fully loaded with tent, and a nights worth of camping gear.

big difference in fuel economy on 37’s vs 35’s

Shouldn't it get worse on big ass tires? That's what I get on 33s

i was severely over geared with 5.29’s and 35’s. Doing 70 mph on the highway with 35’s i was at 3500RPM, now I’m at 3000 on 37’s. It’s nice to not hear a 1gr screaming all the time

Are you welding them on/ creating a bracket or trying to run in slot tracks? I just Went with carriage bolts and star knobs with spacers.
