    Hi everybody
So I've been reading through the forum (and everywhere else for that matter) trying to figure out what I should do for my new trd pro.

I've noticed everyone has very strong opinions about everything, but I'm trying to find the best way to get what I need and I usually get lost in threads cuz everyone's strong opinions, or s**t talking lol.

I tend to do a lot of offroading near Johnson Valley, KOH area. I'm coming from an Xterra, that surprisingly never let me down, it was titan swapped beast that I could look at any challenge and say let's try it without demise.

Anyways, I got the pro cuz the old lady liked the color and I want her to be interested in my favorite hobby. My bro let me take his 4runner out with icon stage 3 and 33's, but it rubs like a b***h when flexing. I don't want that at all.

I've been looking at all of these kits, 2" TC, icon stage 5, king and fox set ups, but there's a lot for me to learn. At this point, I am lost. If I lift it I want to keep the factory wheels, but basically change everything else or should I just keep it as is? I've already found a demello bumper and still have a warn winch which will be going on the truck once I get a free moment. Will it be too heavy for the stock suspension? Any and all advice will be appreciated and I you are selling anything I could use, lemme know. Here's the new babyIMG_0555.jpg

Buy the off-road or SR5 and lift it. You just spent extra money for the pro suspension and you want to replace it?

Basically for the color, I know it's dumb, but she's worth it.

I don't know about the Off-Road? But the SR5 is missing some of the extra stuff.

Precision Toyota? looks like it or one of the AZ dealers. If I were you I'd hit up Jeff at Wescott Designs, he's up in Scottsdale.

She actually flew out there to pick it up, there's apparently a shortage out here. I live in OC. I'll call Westcott tomorrow to find out more. I'm just afraid cuz every thread I read about them. Are they spacers, are they not? I'm going to take this truck where it's not supposed to go and don't want to break it just yet

Not spacers, Jeff a good friend of mine and he does some serious mods, used to do builds and was fleet manager for Right Toyota. Give him a shout, he can break it down for you, people on here are often ill informed, take with grain of salt.

Not a spacer. Honestly it feels the same as stock. Just a lot more lifted. I did UCA also with lift so to me it feels great.

For what it's worth I like the color just fine - some people on this board have issues with women who
have an opinion and god-forbid they speak their minds. It's a good looking truck and it sounds like you-two
are going to enjoy adventures in it - so... enjoy !

All those threads of shit talking and strong opinions came from threads like this, why would you expect any different makings another one?

That aside, honestly your best bet is to keep researching and figure out what you want to do. Take advice with a grain of salt as you will get both good and bad.

This forum is a compendium of Tacoma knowledge.

I would replace the springs or get the Westcott kit.

If you want to do some moderate offroading and not rub at all on 33's then you'll need to do a CMC (cab mount chop). If you don't mind a little rub now and then you can do a 2" or so lift with either Total Chaos or Icon upper controll arms and then get an alignment and have them add as much positive caster as possible. Asking the masses what you should do with your truck is like asking what everyone's favorite color is, some people will agree other will disagree, and then everyone talks shit about the other opinion.
