does anyone know if that head unit would fit in the smaller sized bezel (SR/SR5) without needing the surround piece?

I was gonna go the Alpine Halo 9 which is a 9 inch screen but radio and install was almost $1700. The radio almost cost as much as install and my radio together. But I'm telling you anything is better than the JBL lol.

Sorry to resurrect, but do you still like this unit? In the market and everything else is out of stock.

Why would you replace the oem radio and then plan to purchase the oem stereo upgrade when all the connections are designed for the oem head unit ...

Stupid question for all who changed out the Entune II head units, What do you do about the features of the truck you control from it? IE.. Headlamp delay, interior delay, DRL etc...

I guess they all do to a default setting?

I believe you can control all of that stuff with the Maestro add on and/or Carista app and Bluetooth OBD2 II adapter.

    FYI

if your joying head unit unit stops working and blows the rear fuse, open it and check capacitor. Mine was bulged. Bought 4 capacitors for 8 bucks, soldering kit for 29 bucks and fuse replacement.

watched a couple of videos on YouTube and voilà!

    fixed the unit.
