If by pattern you mean they'll be in the same orbit, but spread out about 6 degrees apart, and their magnitude will dim as they won't be trying to raise altitude but will have the darker part turned towards the earth.

Just like other sats, but at a lower altitude (so higher magnitude when they're not turned away from the earth)

Naw, your right on, we have 50 planes at the museum, we are non-profit, we have to maintain the museum above all else. The TBM, one of my favorites still cannot bring down the rest of the stable. I've seen hundreds of emails and comments and assumptions of what happened, how Terry did his job, what was wrong, unless someone was in that cockpit at those 2 minutes YOU DON'T KNOW what he was dealing with.

All the assumptions is what kills everything..

They spread out over time as they get more obits in. But yeah, it's pretty trippy to watch them appear and transit overhead just as your eyes pick up the next one.

It's obviously a sensitive subject being so recent to the old gal being laid down, but I wasn't passing along my own opinion about it not flying again. I was passing along the info I received from an employee of the facility. I don't think you're calling me a crackpot but if you were I wanted to clarify.

None of our volunteers or members are supposed to be talking about it right now with the gov sniffing around, and no your not the crackpot, there has been email and post galore with the armchair pilots out there that know everything, not there just assuming, that is hurtful to the organization in many ways. My museum guides are a very knowledgeable group, but even them don't know what went on those last minutes and they should keep their opinions to themselves.

Myself and the Board will issue an official statement once the item is fully investigated, and all parties are in agreement with the facts.

Youngest son and AFROTC….the Air Force has cut back to only 39% commissioning for my son’s graduation year, 2023. Proud to say he made the cut, 1 of 5 out of the 11 in his detachment. He also, as the detachment commander said, is on a golden ticket…he’s going rated. Commander said unless he really f’s things up, off to flight school after graduation.
Now if I can just get him to buckle down and finish his private and start his instrument rating…I know I never procrastinated when I was that age

So what happens to the rest of the cadets? Did they just get a free college education for the first two years (I'm assuming your son is a sophomore since commissioning would follow graduation) with no service obligation?

Pretty much if you were on scholarship. Not all take or are offered scholarship though. They also have the opportunity to cross commission in the Navy or Marines if they want.
Example is my son, he didn’t accept a scholarship till this past October.

Awesome! Why are you pushing him to get his ratings before going in? I could understand private, but why not let the Air Force pay for the rest?

Hopefully so that he’s better prepared. Several of my friends that are prior service have said it was beneficial to them having the experience. Granted he’ll be taught a totally different way but the basic understanding is the same

My little guy turned 4 so I took him to see a friend land in a PC-12. He got to act like a little rock star.

I see. Just seems like a lot of money to be spent for something to be re-taught but if ours not concerned about that then I think it’s a great idea! I hear that Air Force is pushing students through pilot training at individual pace now, instead of having everyone move forward as a class. Now, there’s no sitting around waiting to move forward while one guy struggles and holds the flight back.
I was there for this! I can’t believe I didn’t see it....I was at APA from 0800-1530 today
