    Hey everyone,

Just looking to purchase a rim with -10mm offset to push the wheels out a little. I have a 2" lift and I cant get a straight answer online if this will cause any issues with rubbing, I know that this also has to deal with the tire size I choose. If anyone can give me some guidance or recommendations on tire size and this offset it would be greatly appreciated.

Any tire wider than 265 will rub somewhere. You might need a CMC, you might just need to trim the finder liners. What tire size did you want to go up to?

I have -12mm offset and went to 255/85/16 (33in tires) I just had to trim 1/2 inch on the inside of the fender

Mine is rubbing with same wheels offset(-10) and 265/70/17 but need an alignment. Will post up results later on today. Suspension is Elka 2.5 and Camburg UCA.

You can fit a 32" (265/75R16) tire on stock wheels and stock suspension. You can also fit a 33" (255/85R16) on stock wheels and suspension. Anything 33" or bigger, wider than the 255 will need something cut or trimmed. I run the skinnies and personally love them. I haven't been convinced to go wider and deal with more fitment issues.

ok. Now let me ask another potentially dumb question, does the rim width matter? The specs of the rim I'm looking at is 17x8.5, -10mm

I'm not the subject matter expert, I can't really give you a great answer on that.

However, play around with this tool. Will really help you learn how all of the numbers impact one another.

    265/65r16 is not anywhere close to a 32", that's like 29.5". 275/70r17, 265/70r17 and 265/75r16 are all considered 32"

    You're right. I meant 265/75R16. I fixed my post.

Funny you ask, I just had 17x8” rims with -10mm offset and 275/70/17 tires installed. They definitely rub but not too bad. I just need to trim some of the plastic and think that will do the trick. Will keep you posted on what works

    Nothing major
My 265/70/17 rub a bit now and then on the oem mudflaps with 1.5” up front and some -10 Scs wheels. I’ll take them off once my sliders arrive. Fine to drive as is for now.

yeah I have 2” lift but I haven’t been able to get the new coil overs installed. I tried installing today using the weight of the truck and a hydraulic jack and couldn’t keep the top pin straight enough to go into the slot. Hoping the new shocks add a little more height. After trimming the plastic I’m still rubbing on the frame a little
