This whole thing turned into a total shit show as she contacted my Boss as a "race" issue when it clearly wasn't and that set off a whole new set of issues since it is a Gov't agency. This had to go to another Gov't agency that handles sensitive issues like this. In the end with the 6 witnesses that heard the original comments from her set the records straight and she was forced to retire after the Federal review board came to the conclusion she was outdated basically (she had 42 yrs with the Feds at various agencies and didn't have very good employee file I was told) and she was hated by just about everyone in the office. I was given an apology from the Dept head (not the accuser) for the poor judgement and use of racism. I would not accept this apology unless it was from herself but was told in private that I didn't need that as I did my job with the outcome of the review board meeting. one member of the review board (3) said "God" did a great job and needs to keep up the good work I laughed and said mam "He will make pigs fly when needed as I always do" made for some good laughter as I walked out....

One thing I did learn from this was "this was 11 months of my life I will never get back" she even had an attorney she hired to defend herself and run me into the ground but the board put the brakes on that fast.

In an effort to make these pretty floor plans so we can do reports on them for what the spaces are, I had to do a ton of configuring for each drawing, upload all of them to our new system, combine each floor for the building into one AutoCAD file and upload that then change the default gray that each space was assigned to a different color. Took... a while... to do all that.

    VM.jpg

Fast forward to last week and one of the managers up front is asking about "general" rooms and where they all went because apparently the ladies assign work orders to this general room when the work applies to the floor, not just one room in particular.

    Uh oh.

In the process of me uploading the plans, it gives me a list of rooms that will be added, deleted or square footage changes that will happen before I hit go on it. Most of the plans didn't have any. Except ALL of them removed this general room. I figured it was kind of a place holder so I didn't think anything about nuking it. From every. Single. Floor. Like, 330 of them.

Said manager gets them all back in the system and tells me that whenever I upload a plan, I'll need to remember to change the general room back to "active" so they can do their work order thing.

I tell her that's not going to happen because I'll forget, get distracted, etc. Instead, I've spent the last week copy/pasting a 1/4" square "room" (so it doesn't mess with out square footage) with the room number of "general" onto all of our floor plans.

Amusingly, word must be getting around because I've received phone calls from 2 other campuses in the state asking what I'm doing with these general rooms because theirs keep disappearing.

Right up there with Stupid reviews that can reflect upon anything from the packaging to who knows what else. Most have nothin’ to do with the actual product or usin’ it. Tip jars. Why do I have to Tip a store clerk to take my money for the product there vastly overchargin’ for. o_O

God forbid I turn this into an oil change thread..... TW has far to many of those already. I do a 3k interval. Partially because I drive my truck like I stole it, but mainly because that's the interval I grew up helping my dad change the oil on. Old habits die hard. Old habits your dad taught you die even harder.
