Op probably doesn't want to read through the comments and stress every day until he gets time to look at the truck. Would suck if it's the battery because he may not know for weeks, but he also doesn't sound too concerned either.:notsure:

Just search TW for “Tacoma Killer” or “Magnusson Moss” and you get all the posts from the Ridgeline World chaps.

Hmm didn't know this was a thing. I might have to sign up for the Ram forum and go start a few dumpster fires over there. Literally showing them pictures of their trucks on fire

Damn y'all, there's a fuckton of comments on here and I honestly don't think I can touch on each one but I appreciate everyone's interest. Sorry for the blue balls, I've been rebuilding my 93 ford 4.0 OHV over the past couple weeks while the taco was at the dealer. 2 weeks for a $400 diagnosis: Shit's seized, no idea why, just slap a used one in there for +$15K, fuck that for every reason. SO, I'll be doing a tear down myself when I get the truck back, gonna finish up the ford and use it to tow the taco off the dealer lot.

@gmtech 4 cams total, MWR has a regrind at $900, that's what I've been considering, just nervous about a regrind on a daily so it's been tossing around in my mind.

@Jowett this is good to know... i think the FSE and FKS valves are interchangeable

@Sig Taco much appreciated. my only anxiety with eBay motors is I don't want to order a 2grfks and receive a Honda 4 cylinder inline..... That motor looks nasty, all rusted out bolts. but for $1k.....

@Macsplace @gearcruncher @Tigris99 @mhornco @Hooper89 I was hoping the dealer would be more involved with their diagnosis, they haven't been able to tell me what they did over the two weeks they had my truck so I'll be doing the driveline/accessory test when I get er back, definitely. Definitely not the battery, I wired in an voltmeter that displays on the overhead, steady at 13-14 for the olympic battery. Will also be doing a fuel pressure test myself.

@splitbolt this m'fer, I would be down if I had $18k to drop and could somehow run it in Cali with smog...

@Skydvrr I will be so pissed if its that simple, but honestly the crank was pretty solidly unmoveable.

Probably won't start the tear down until next week, I had two weeks off for paternity and spent it on the ford and my in-law's Audi. Here's to hoping it's something stupidly simple. I'll be happy with stupidly simple.
