No, i work with things that fly why I liked super pacific given the aerospace background. I have a pretty good understanding of the industry and took 6 months of machining just learning some basics to where I could make chips and not kill my self or loose a finger. lol

I do a lot of side projects and work lets me play around with Cad and solid works on my time.

Ahh gotcha. Just learning to benefit yourself essentially. Same here pretty much. Lots of side projects and its just a big grown up play area here. lol Private owned shop and we do all our own Engineering, Programming and Machining. We're all self sufficient and pretty much just do our things and make our parts. Mix of Aerospace, Semiconductor, Automotive, and really anything since we're technically a Job Shop. I've been making random parts for such a wide variety of (my) hobbies. lol Essentially get paid to learn and then make my own stuff on the side/weekends.

Good call, thanks for the idea.

State Farm came back to say as long as I have receipts they can replace aftermarket upgrades "very easily." If not they'll work with me but it can be hard to value without docs of the cost.

You may want to call again... I added $10,000 additional coverage specifically for my “camper” (Vagabond) and they wanted a serial number. There are limitations to the aftermarket “add-ones” that will likely not include a wedge camper.

Hmmm. I just noticed that I have loose bolts in the tent track corners. See photos. Also, I believe the corners have allowed some rain in (not much, but noticeable). I remember something about “missing corner pieces” on this thread. Am I missing something on these corners? If not, anybody have any idea what these bolts are from?

BTW I did email Spencer and Peter about this, just checking with other owners here. EC3AA130-EEC7-4DF6-A8A2-F560F7BC4E4A.jpg311FADB4-84C5-4D62-AF58-1E682F8D8BB5.jpg

I pinged SP about this last month (posted a few pages back) to follow up about the corner pieces they said they would ship to me with the response below:

"We put those nuts at the corners of your tent frame as a provision for installing the corner plates you are describing. We’ve been on the fence as to weather or not we actually need those parts and are shopping out a few suppliers as they will be a very high volume parts for us. That is a long way of saying I’m not sure when we will have those parts ready to ship, and we may decide they are unnecessary altogether. We’ll definitely keep you in the loop either way."

Ok. I think I'd like corner pieces. Not sure why. More stuff I guess. Also, looks like one of my nuts is missing. So to speak.

That was the same sort of input I got from them earlier as well.

As to the insurance issue I contacted my agent at AAA. He documented some info on the camper and its value. He didn't ask for a serial number but I had to submit photos taken from all four sides. Interestingly AAA had the same requirement when I first insured the truck.

There should be a plate with launch code and launch date installed on the inside above the rear hatch, just below the T-slot. So it faces the front of the truck. It's possible they didn't have that in stock when you were there. The blue SP logos for the sides were missing when I picked mine up.

FYI bought this down blanket that I saw recommended on the Vagabond forum. Cheap compared to other $200-$400 down blankets. (Buyer beware, 80%down 20%feathers, which is ok with me). Exactly the same size as the inflated ExPed. Wish they had a slightly bigger size so I could tuck it under the mattress, but most of these blankets are this size or much too large (and costly). Has little loops on the sides that I’m planning on using somehow to keep it snugged to the mattress, at least down where my feet are. I’m thinking this together with flannel sheets should be warm enough for a 3 season solution, in SoCal anyway. We’ll see.

Edit: also thin enough to keep the bedding on the (deflated) mattress when the tent is closed.

Updated the Spreadsheet with my username and all the other info for us and the truck in place of Beboman. Kept the Deposit date the same as his original.. waiting for an update on build.. but last time I talked to them they mentioned the same as everyone else. July/August for that Deposit Timeframe.

I, for one, and going to test the upper vents together with a small rechargeable fan before I consider cutting through the roof.
