    Okay, good to know!
I am not sure, as I always bend the sheet metal, and pulled the bolt through the top and put it back the same way.

Baxter is one of my favorite places. I haven't hiked Katahdin in a few years - I need to get back up there. My sense of self preservation has slowly increased over the years and the Chimney bothered me more last time than it used to. I like doing the loop in reverse - Over Baxter and down Dudley. I accidentally went down Cathedral once and that was not a fun time (and Saddle really isn't that much better). I think I took a few years off my knees there. Going up that trail is a blast though - it's amazing how quickly you can ascend.

I'm way out of shape but going up to NMW June 19th/Father's day weekend, if I get the day ahead of that off I might go up early and summit the day before. It's been a while, since college for both Katahdin and Cadillac. Katahdin I've only done a handful of times. Cadillac is probably in triple digits.

I didn't even do Franconia last year (mainly because I refuse to hike a mountain like that in a mask) and I usually do that 2-3 times every summer. It's an easy day trip.

The mountains around here are too easy, so I'd probably struggle with the Whites right now.

I didn't around here, but I didn't want to drive far to a more crowded place like Franconia and find out everyone was because nope, not happening for me.

Last year I went out to CT for a training and my college friend and I (he lived out there) did this one in a quick afternoon:
    https://goo.gl/maps/gXTTsEMV83b9Ybb59

like a 90 minute summit maybe. Not remarkable but it was something to do, next time I take a training out in Hartford I'm going to the park there and getting one of them ride pictures of me on a roller coaster

That's the town I grew up. We got seasons passes to Lake Compounce every year because there wasn't much to do there when I was growing up besides kick around the apple orchards camping and starting shit on fire, and some cliff jumping in the reservoir. Now Southington has everything under the sun on Queen Street. I am old.

Yeaaahhh! I was surprised, I had only really been out to Hartford for training and back, never really went west. My buddy lived up by Fall Mountain Lake before he moved out to CO.

I grew up in Old Orchard Beach. I feel 'ya.

My parents are still there in the house I grew up in. It's crazy the expansion. Our house used to be the last on our small street. To the North of the end of the street used to be 100's if not 1000's of acres of woods. We'd go back there and shoot, ride dirtbikes/ 3 wheeler death traps of fun. There's a river behind the houses on the other side of the street and we'd go down there and swim/ fish and generally fuck off. Now that whole area is all developed so no such fun can be had anymore. It was nice having that plus there's still "Mount" Southington Ski area that takes longer to ride the chair up than ski down. But great that it was right down the road from my parents, in the winter in middle and high school every Wed and Friday you could bring your ski shit to school and catch a bus right after school to the mountain and ski from like 3 to closing at 9.

But in general Connecticut sucks giant donkey balls, and I legitimately don't recommend it to anyone.

lol. I love CT, it's just a disaster.

    > 3 wheelers
Neighbor had one of those things growing up, holy hell you are right about that, that's a death trap.

    > dinky ski mountain

For us that was Bradford. Their idea of a "black diamond" was the same exact trail, BUT with a tree in the middle of the trail. Last I looked lift tix were like 50 bucks a day, insane but it was close so they did the business analytics of "how much can we charge before people think it's worth it to just drive an extra couple hours north to the real slopes" is basically what I think happened. Shenanigans.

Even blue hills is like 50 bucks a day now. Ain't even worth it to have fun.

Western CT has some fucking fire sport touring roads. One of my good friends lives in Southington. He and I have ridden a lot down that way.

I had help for the UCAs when I lifted my Tacoma. They removed the bolts, and replaced them backwards. When I had to replace the bushings in the UCAs, the passenger side was easy, but I still had trouble with the driver's side because of the gas and/or brake lines.

Western CT is nice. We used to do a lot of camping at/ around Candlewood Lake. Still though in general Connecticut is a giant steaming pile of shit. I don't think MA is really much better, but it is slightly better.

IIRC I just un-clipped those on my FJ and pushed them out of the way. It's been like 5-6 years though since I did SPC's on my FJ though.

So where's a good place to buy a cheapie EDC knife? Just snapped the tip off my Kershaw. It's occasional use so doesn't have to be crazy expensive..I have a 1306BW now and that does the job.

    Bass Pro maybe?

I don't think Amazon has the sack to ship that stuff anymore. I've got a couple SOG knives I like for EDC/ in my truck. Not expensive and with a little nudge it flips open with a spring assist thing.

You broke your Kershaw? Wow, you must have put that thing through hell. I have never had any issues with mine. CRKT makes a great knife. Basspro, and cabelas might be the way to go. If you want just a Cheapy, I would suggest the Gerber Paratrooper. I have had mine for years and it only costs like $19

I'm on work network now, but will recommend:

    Wild Bill Wholesale

If it's still a thing, that place was pretty good. I got some cheap stuff there. They shipped to Maine no worries. I think it varies by state though.

So - I will be a stickler here. You have a spring assisted opening knife. You are legal because the "button" is on the back of the blade, not the body. Anything with a button on the body, would be illegal in MA. NH is fair game for anything pretty much, MA was a no go for what's called an automatic opening/automatic knife.

To play it safe I take the spring out of all of mine anyway.

PS - check the rub when you close it. Those SAO knives with the thumb lock like to rub on the body when you close it.

(This is all one of those "driving barefoot" rules, you won't get arrested for this, but if you get pulled over with 1/2 lb of the devil's lettuce, it would just be an additional tacked on charge, for example).
