Bungee straps. Only concern would be wearing away the anodized layer where the rifle may touch and vibrate along the hex rack.

I thought about using some quick fist grips mounted to the rack.

Something tells me that these are going to be very, very popular once people start posting them installed with gear attached.

I just need a set of the redesigned handle retention kit. @MESO said there was a new kit coming that hides the hole in headliner better than before.

I plan on using the same type of shovel mounts to get the spacing and straps to attach or figure a plate to attach to the tool mount

Have you tried their “weapon” mounts? Thinking of giving it a whirl. The regular mounts work fine though.

Ok, so who can share where the best buy for some MOLLE pouches would be?
Would love to support an American company.

Quick fists are the ducktape of molle mounting, lol. They will certainly work. Quick fist weapon mount is probably elegant enough for an AR. I like trying to create more custom stuff with CAD when it fits the bill. C'mon people, what else do you want to see mounted on your ceiling panel, that would require a custom mount, etc? Keep the ideas flowin!

The netting my panel will replace currently holds several field sweatshirts (raingear is stored in pockets on the back wall) so you can print me up some pouches. I'm thinking maybe a fire extinguisher, but it has to be secure.

MOLLE accessory makers are dime a dozen. There's a laundry list of US-based makers and the types of pouches vary widely. Honestly, too many to really list.

But I will throw out a not-so largely known maker: Hill People Gear

Ar15 mount and small fire extinguisher mount are two key. Most other stuff has a molle already or fits in a molle bag. I really would like to see a molle roll up tool kit with some ok tools for quick roadside stuff
