Given the current employment climate, I would demand more than 10k from your current people especially if new people are offering 20. And a company truck.. even if you already have one, fuck em, you need two. You can wear em like boating shoes, It's an employees job market out there after all.

    Perfection.

I've seen some trucks get nasty stuck there, that was the BEST possible and least overall expensive outcome for his dumb ass

Leaving a job even if it's a shot period of time is one of the most enjoyable feelings ever. Did you find a job yet near your new place?

That is a reasonable bottom line to have! I just got an 8k increase to jump industries (almost) entirely and I'm over the moon, I can't imagine what a 20k offer would feel like.

I think 5k and a 4x4 is within their means if they're that established... although definitely start way higher:laughing:

That little brake application right before was a nice touch. "Oh no..<brakes>, oh well tooooooo late *crunch*"

I think that brake tap is what saved him, re watching it a couple times the bounce back up after the brake tap put the edge of the box in perfect alignment with the guard

Well if that's the cause I'd jump ship now, if you know current place is gunna demand it eventually, and you won't be able to then you'll have issues you won't want to deal with later.

But I don't know shit, and have a bad habit of "job hopping" apparently

That's awesome. Experience plus character go a long way.

I have to hire 70 new instructors and 10 cashiers in October. 50% of them will vanish by March. Its hard to get good people with a good work ethic.

On the bright side my next day of work is September 15th

Shocks got finished. Picked them up today and installed them and the new springs right away.

Oof, I do not envy that first part. My wife worked at Crystal mountain ski resort as a ticket cashier (booth supervisor?) when she first moved out here. They have a summer season running the gondolas for sight seeing and there's a restaurant at the top. However she got like a 2 months off between seasons which she liked.

I can't imagine having as much time off as you do:rofl:

    4 run, 2 don't
Lol so like Jimmie said, I've already had multiple job offers in different types of environments already and have been asked to start already.

With the house slated to be finished by Oct-Dec, I'm just counting down the days until I can move.

But here's something I've only mentioned to a few; I'll be leaving my job of nearly 10 years making decent income to return back to school (trade school).

So there are new things to come in my life and I'm excited for it.

I've been working since I was 15, only to finally sit back and enjoy a nice schedule, go to school for a bit, and know that worst case if the whole gig doesn't pan out, I have plenty of experience to get me back into something with decent hours anyway.

I bought a piece of crap boat motor to save me when my other piece of crap boat motor stops working.

If both of them don’t work, god help us all.

I’m gonna restore this, because I can. It’s a 1984 Sears Gamefisher 7.5 HP Outboard two stroke.

Lol yea, she couldn't handle how much the main office people were like high school drama TV shows haha. Otherwise she loved up there ... for the most part, I remember her horror stories of high maintenance customers
