Help:Auxbeam Switch panel and arb compressor

so I have a auxbeam switch panel that I want to run a single arb compressor off of. Has anyone done this mod or is it possible

 

The auxbeam switch panel has a max channel amp draw of 30 amps. Here is the technical data for the ARB compressors. https://www.arb.com.au/assets/air-lockers/6-07.pdf Looks like the amp draw at max would trip that 30 amp breaker. That being said you're not going to be airing up your tires to 100 psi. I've seen others use the compressor on a 30 amp circuit like the switch pro 9100 just fine.

Maybe others will chime in but I imagine you'd be fine. Are you using for airing up tires? If so may just wire the switch into the engine bay area since you'll have to access the area to hook up an airline.

 

You should be fine! I have the same switch panel just haven't hooked it up yet. I can tell you it is a solid piece of equipment. I highly doubt you'll even use 50 psi. Most ive aired mine up too in 40 with zero issues on amp draw.

 

Depends which ARB you go with. If the one you want to use draws more then 30A, use the tigger output to trigger a separate relay instead of the accessory itself. Let a separate relay trigger the ARB.

 

Great suggestion to use the switch panel as a trigger.

I was going off OPs statement that he was using an ARB single compressor so I assumed it was the

Thank you sir. Yeah I wasn’t sure. Personally if I ever did OBA, I think I’d just do a direct line (fused) to a switch under the hood or in the bed. Likely I’d have to get to that area to plug in or pull out an air hose anyways.

 

Thanks for the info guys but I got it to work I still have the arb hooked up to the battery with a relay and fuse I just connected the switch wire to the auxbeam works perfectly fine

 

How do you like it and how do you have it mounted?

 

I love it for the price it’s at. I have 42 inch cali raised 30 inch Baja designs, Baja designs s2 sport and the arb compressor wired to it... I have it mounted where the cubby hole was with some 3m sticky tape

 

Any issues with the aux lights flashing on for a split second when you start the truck? I’ve heard that was an issue for guys running the McTuning ones.

Did you use the ARB CMK12 wire harness. Which wire/color did you connect from the ARB to the Auxbeam pos+ wire. Ready to pull the trigger on a 6 panel/Blue

 

How are your aux beam panels holding up?

 

Which wires on the arb harness did you use to trigger the relay?

The red wire from the pressure switch needs the switched 12V.

 

Here is a bad picture of mine. Definitely recommend a power tray to keep things more organized. I installed mine on the passenger side because there is more room and I dont have any plans of adding a second battery. Had to do a little modification to the power tray to get it to work on the passenger side. Still need to clean in up a little and add some loom over the wires running along the firewall.
