    Im the new owner of 2008 tacoma regular cab base model. The right side or side facing the center of the vehicle is missing a steering wheel cap or cover.

    I can't identify the part number to make an order. A picture is attached.

    Its the cover for the cruise control stalk. I assume you do not have CC? Why not do a DIY, its a great upgrade. Also looks like you may not have intermittent wipers either? Another great DIY, and it is easy.

    Thanks Taco'09. I think I would just like to replace the plug and keep things stock. Only use the truck around town while doing odd jobs for the kids. When I searched cruise control cover I found a plate with a hole, but still no luck finding the solid cover for a no cruise rig. Any help is appreciated.

    In Post #3 right above ^^^
    @BillDaCat8 gives the part number
    for the blank. Again the number is 45186-0C010-B1
    It should be around $5-7ish at a dealer.

    Is cruise hard to add to a base Tacoma? Is it a matter of simply buying the control stalk? I know that is all you need to add intermittent wipers—already ordered that upgrade.

    It is not hard to add,
    especially if your truck is prewired and and automatic.

    My truck is manual transmission, so I had to add a switch on the clutch pedal
    I added CC to my truck, here is how I went about it

    Thanks for that.

    Mine’s a manual. I’m making a parts list and gathering the procedures from all the helpful Taco owners. I’ll be diving into this next weekend.

    I followed your VIDEO and wrote up my process on Instructable: https://www.instructables.com/Adding-Cruise-Control-to-a-2007-Tacoma/ Also had to cut out the connector to get it out. It worked fine.

    Then i went looking to do the Intermittent Wiper Switch and found your video on that. Did you do that one on the 2007 Tacoma as well?

    Which Intermittent switch did you use? It looked as if you bought both sides/switches. Did you happen to write down the part number of the part you installed? Amazon wants $180 for "TOYOTA 84652-04141 Windshield Wiper Switch." I was hoping to spend a lot less! Any help would be appreciated.
