anything darker than 20% unless you have under 40yr old eyes is going to be hard to see out at night thru the back and side windows especially for lane changes or backing up. yeah i know backup camera, but the camera doesnt cover the corners of the truck.

the darker the rears are the darker the fronts look to police. if there is enough contrast between the rear and fronts, it makes 30% look lighter though.

Any one in the Midwest with ceramic tint? Wondering if it’s worth the extra $$.

Is the only benefit heat reduction then? The shop I’m looking at says they offer a ceramic that reduces heat by 50%

So is the factory tint on a 21 Tacoma built into the glass or is there a film on it that has to be removed first?

This is mine with 20% in front. It's dark enough for me.

I live in Arizona, and I have 5% on back and side rear windows. On side front windows I have 20%. Keep in mind that not all states allow 5%.

Not a good picture because of the angle of the sun but it's 30% on the front and factory on the rear. Matches pretty close to my eyes.

Thanks. Although, I think some of the appeal might be perspective. I tend to take profile pictures from door handle height.

    Rides okay...not great, not terrible...
At the time I got them(5yr/33,000 miles ago), I was doing quite a bit of commuting on shale roads. They wore great. I'm fixing to replace them with non-LT Toyo AT3s.

Iowa sucks as legal front and sides is 70%. I'll do my own in case I have to remove it later. Any links for DIY tint or is Amazon as good as anything?

30% up front and on the windshield strip, 5% on the back windows and rear, kept it Texas legal

The white looks great, I wish I got the cement or white!
I did the same shades, all ceramic, minus the strip. On the windshield I went one shade down from clear.

I recently got a work truck done the same but not ceramic......I want to do a side by side temp test to see if the heat rejection is true or bullshit.
The dyed tint (cheaper) looks darker to the eye.

Nice man! Great choices all around! I wish I had gone ceramic but it does the trick. My windshield strip is a little below the AS line. I’ll see how inspection goes eventually, I want the front darker. My wife’s Volvo has no tint and it drives me insane, I’m trying to convince her to go at least 30-20%. Probably one of my favorite mods
