$5705000 x .01 = $57050

That's not even taking into account that that interest rate terms are unknown as far as when it's calculated. There's a lot of money in shorting companies. lol

LOL. The point is shorting only gets really expensive when the shorts actually have to cover. If the stock moves up significantly from the borrow point then it can be a world of hurt.
