I added the bulbs you linked not to long ago per your recommendation. They are awesome by the way. I just had an 1 extra pod lying around and clearly a lot of time on my hands lately so I thought I'd add it just cuz. Maybe I'll leave well enough alone.

Fair warning, the reverse camera has some brightness adjustment.

I have 60 W of rear light aimed high (campsite lighting and finding a route in reverse) and my camera view is worse with them on vs 921 reverse lights. Mirror views are great, and you'll be pushing less power.... but it might be worth mocking it up and seeing what you get before hardwiring.

Also, I know @crashnburn80 has already chimed in, but you should search some of his lighting threads if you haven't already. Great knowledge, testing, and write-ups.

I wouldn’t add an additional 15w on the reverse circuit if you are already running 70w with the HIRs. Reverse is intended for 36w and the HIRs are already pushing it by ~2x. Though there is room on the circuit with the tow package, tying it into the reverse will cause further voltage drop and loss of performance on the HIRs as well and push those small reverse wires pretty hard. I wouldn’t recommend it with the HIRs.

Reverse camera image blow out with aux LED lights is not an uncommon problem, which is entirely counter productive if you use the reverse camera at night. Likely really depends on light placement. You can run into the same issue with some license plate LED lights as well. You don’t have camera blow out with the Gy6.35 HIR solution.

I spliced them Into the reverse lights in the tail lights. That’s the details

What about tapping a single 9 watt LED rock light tapped of of the reverse lamp wire?
Doesn't sound like enough current to worry about.

Not really, just be aware that the fuse that provides juice to the BU lamps also has other circuits to "feed".

Installed 6 years ago, tapped into right side reverse light - w stock bulbs. 18w - pulls 1.5 amps.

@memario1214 has a plug and play solution for this. Reach out to him and see what he can do for you. If you need a special connector for your light, I bet he can arrange that as well.

Will work fine. My HIR reverse upgrade goes from 18w->35w without issue, but the 10A circuit is also used for the tow harness, so whatever you add in reverse draw subtracts from what you have available to a trailer in towing.

Not the same for a 2006. 2011 on to 2015 is a signal input to Tow BU relay. Tow BU has own 10A fuse.

I had no power on the trailer 7 pin. I'll have to find that fuse. I'd rather tap from there than the lamp. It's just one rock light, on the passenger side, to see the curb better for parallel parking.

2007 does not have a separate fuse for BU in Tow & pin, it shares the same fuse mentioned -10A IG1.

Well, no power to the 7 pin at all. Tow/trailer relay spot is empty, no power on any connection. I guess that’s how the 2007 Prerunner has no tow package. Strange since I have a stock hitch and 7 pin.

Where would I get power from to power the relay? I assume it’s in the lower section of the fuse/relay box under the hood.

For the Tow 7 pin, you have a fuse & relay for the Tow TAIL circuit; A fuse & relay for battery charging; Left & Right Turn circuit is combined with the Stop circuit via the Towing Converter (inside the cab), converter has it's own 30A fuse; and the Towing Brake circuit which requires a module; and ground.
A few things to check to find the problem...wires, fuses...
But in your Tacoma the BU circuit is a shared with the tow BU.
    upload_2021-5-15_11-14-29.jpg
And some have it tied an additional LED in parallel to that circuit...so.

This list seems ... Not plausible, are you sure this 10A isn't just for the indicator lights for all these functions? Or this is a list of things that each have their own 10 amp circuit? Because the 115v outlet being on there, you would blow it any time you did anything while using that

Where do you come up with the statement?
The list shows the circuit (not all of it) that the fuse has a relation to.

So if I plug in surge strip and blow the fuse on the 115v outlet in the bed, I won't be able to turn on my headlights, taillights, AC, shift into any gear etc?
