That's why I went with Toyota baybay.

What's the general idea with TC lockup, locked = cooler temps?

    .
As longer is SLU solenoid is On, you should see similar temps for the pan and TC, regardless of the status of the thermostat and TC lock status.
in your example, TC temp is crazy high for me. Most likely TC is slipping under high load with SLU in Off status

I would throw SLU status on your display to see why you have such a high tc temp.

You're saying TC was commanded locked but was still possibly slipping under load?

He has a point tho. How many people go through seven transmissions in their lifetime?
    Once is chance
    Twice is coincidence
Three times is a problem somewhere.
    Goo luck tho!

There's so many factors that play into that though. Model of transmission being a big one!

If SLU is Off, the TC won't lockup.
    You are tuned, correct?

Let me be the third person now to tell you...the driver is causing the problem here. I guarantee it.

It's like the old saying. If one person says you have a lizard tail, he's crazy. If two people tell you, it's a conspiracy. If 3 people tell you, you'd better turn around and look lol.

Not user error on this one lol. These babies cook themselves in short order. Mine in my 08 was starting to slip before I got rid of it. They run hot stock.

You have only 4 elements just a little bit higher. Call Aisin and ask them to clarify. Thanks for sharing this useful info!

If that's the case, their marketing sucks.
