    The rundown:
I was really hungry on my way home from work and wanted a chicken sandwich from Canes (I hear they got good stuff). One just opened up in north county San Diego and apparently its really Freakin good cause the exit for Canes had traffic backed up about 1/4 mile onto the freeway. I see this and come to a complete stop. I look over to the shoulder right next to me see what I thought was a 50% pick-n-pull sale on the shoulder of the freeway. There were headlights, tail-lights, bumpers and glass all over the ground. I looked a bit harder and noticed 4 vehicles that resembled Natty Ice cans from the front yard of an Ohio State fraternity house. I think they were throwing a total Rager on the side of the freeway. 4 people just throwing their hands in the air, waving and pointing at each-other. As you know, cops typically do not condone throwing parties in the middle of an interstate on a weekday at 5PM. CHP pulls up and starts yelling at everyone to get back in their vehicles. At about this time i look in my rearview mirror to see what the horrible screeching noise is behind me. There is a small sedan in my rearview mirror that is quickly becoming larger. I assume they were late to the party on the freeway and were in a rush. I totally understood. I mean, it looked like they were all having fun so I do not blame here for being in a rush to join them. The part where she messed up is where she forgot how to drive. Instead of using her brakes, she saw my truck and decided to use it as a landing pad. Imagine a Randy Johnson fast-ball going over the catchers head and barreling straight for the back stop, but instead of a baseball, its a 2002 corolla sport with different colored body panels, and instead of a back stop, its a 2008 tacoma comprised completely of miss matched suspension parts and body panels found on the craigslist threads of tacoma world. The lady hits me at about 40MPH. Now, 40mph isnt that fast. As an 8 year old in little league, id crowd the plate and eat every 40mph pitch like a bowl of fortified cereal. It wasn't shit. In fact, If i showed up to my local field today and some coaches kid was throwing 40mph, id take him fckn yard and into the neighbors backyard in center. This 40mph collision however felt like the time I was on Kickoff return in college and got absolutely wrecked by some guy who went on to play for the Shitty Atlanta Falcons. Anyways, my neck proceeded to mimic the movement of the end of a garden hose that got turned on full blast, whipping around out of control destroying all the tomatoes in your wives' freshly weeded garden. It turns out the lady used the front end of her corolla as a wedge to get under my tacoma to take a closer look at the Fox TRD Pro takeoffs and AAL that i just installed 2 weeks ago. She was not impress and I do not blame her for that either (I will be looking to upgrade to some fox 2.5s or Kings soon, any opinions?). She managed to cure my FOMO and got me, as well as the brand new Ram Transit van in front of me that I launched into, free tickets to the party on the freeway shoulder. There were now 7 of us partying and one disgruntled CHP officer yelling for everyone to stay in their vehicles with their seatbelts on. The tacoma took it like a champ, still need to get an estimate done. If you ever needed a reason to buy your teenage daughter a truck, consider this it.

PS. I didn't even get my Canes chicken sandwich :(

the discrepancy in apparent damage is nuts. glad you're safe and your truck seems mostly unharmed...hopefully an assessment turns up the same

Man that sucks. But holy cow you really handed it to her. I'm surprised there isn't more damage to your truck. I imagine the trailer hitch took the brunt of the force and caused that carnage?

She has tea in her engine bay, that's obviously why it crashed.

Glad you're not dead. Congrats on the steel replacement bumper.

Thats my thought as well. I got out and saw her first and cringed. After i saw that she was good i looked at the truck and was surprised. I will say however that there is alot of hidden damages. Gotta get the frame measured up on the rack. Fingers Crossed

That tea started in the cup holder, that’s just where it landed.

Im telling you, The hitch doesn't hardly have scratch on it! the frame rail ends that its mounted to however are bent about 20 degrees downward at first glance. The hitch went right over her engine head (or through it). If you see this corolla on copart, i suggest steering clear.

Lmao! I just now notice that!

Im glad she decided to sponsor my build. Im debating on keeping it stock (Cause I really like the red) vs maybe getting a high clearance.

My biggest issue is that you still were not able to procure a chicken sandwich from canes. Hopefully in your build sponsorship/insurance check they throw in a little extra for 2 sandwiches

Procure, You sir are indeed a gentleman and a scholar.
I may try again tonight but if the traffic is to the freeway again ill have to settle for a Wendys spicy chicken.

Tons of baseball references. I like it. Sorry about your truck though, hope it gets fixed.

Don’t be sad about the sandwich, you’re not missing out on much.

I got in a similar accident in my rover. Young woman rear ended me. When they hit the trailer hitch it’s game over.

Agreed. A distracted driver rear ended me, when I was stopped, in her dad's car. No damage to the truck, but my bumber ended 1/2 way up her hood. Wasn't pretty.
