MSI Unify is a great non-RGB motherboard. Hopefully they keep it around. Asus has also made a few "Professional" motherboards with great features but they otherwise look like they belong in a case twenty years ago and cost more than RGB options.

Solid tubing is fine, just more work. If you have the time it's worth it like any cleanup project just for the aesthetics.

Not sure I'll ever do hard copper again; it took forever to get some of the bends correct (and a lot of now scrap copper), fancy cablemod cables are on order too. In hindsight I wish I went with a black case, but in the day and age of component shortages it turned out ok!

    eBay or reddit hardware swap.

Now is an amazing time to be offloading older gpu's (and other older PC stuff) with how crap inventory is. Been selling some older cards I bought used and selling them for more than I paid

I was having a similar issue with my pc as soon as I would start a game it would crash and restart my pc. What are your specs for your build? Also it go to a point where my mouse was not being really responsive and then until I couldn’t even log in to my computer because it would shut off/ restart

Did the new/replacement PSU come in yet? Just curious to see if that resolved your issue.

With todays motherboards will you still have to update bios?

Ryzen 5600x paired with 550 or 570 Board?

Always a good idea to update the bios. But in the sense of will they support the 5000 series chips...by now most inventory should. You'd only really run into an issue if you pick up a board that was made back in the Sept/Oct and older time frame as that was often before the needed bios was released.

AMD does have the loaner program still if you do run into the problem. Or a local PC store should do it for cheap if you bring it in and have the bios on a flash drive already

Yes, you'll want to update the AGESA (processor microcode) that's included in new AMD board BIOS's. It can fix bugs, and enable new features like resizable BAR.

Bought a house a few weeks ago. Finally got the office set up. Gonna mount the monitor on the wall and give my girlfriend her record cabinet back that I’m using as a monitor stand for now.

Had to reorganize to find a stud to mount the monitor. It’ll sit like this for now. I’m happy with it. Shit on my RGB if you want. I won’t mind. Everything comes with it now. FML.

Its getting worse too. Thats not even an outrageous price if you look at the "shitty" reselling sites (ebay, craigslist, ect). ebay has had them for that or higher recently.

In other news...one ram stick decided its had enough. Was causing random crashes and memtest86 just stops the test early due to failure. And of course to RMA they want both sticks since it was a "kit" :(
