Interesting. I hadn't really thought of the fact that different bushings would affect ability to hold alignment. Well, we'll see. Like I said, I'm not opposed to it, just haven't needed it so far.

Why are the Bison cams garbage? Is the best cam tab kit still the TC kit? Or Wheelers? Or...?

You only really have 2 options, the TC kit and the Allpro/TG/Wheelers kit. I'd get the allpro one if I could do it again. Should fit better from the get go.

And I'm sure your experience will be like what Brett said. The bushings won't give as much or like being crossed up as much. So torque will be your friend. I imagine you'll be doing the gussets later this year haha

TC cam tab kits worked well on both the 1st gen and 2nd gen. Wouldn't hesitate to do them again.

Bison cams are a good idea but poorly executed (IMO given what I saw on the 2nd gen). The plates were cut slightly to small and didn't fit tightly in the cam tabs, bolts slightly too short, half-ass spacers provided for small bolts. Maybe the 1st gen kits will be better if he ever gets around to them. :notsure:

Can confirm. I was running whitelines for a while. Every so often I would start hearing a clunking in from the front end when articulating, turns at speed, or going over potholes on one side. The Bushings just didn't seem to hold their spot and the cams would bounce back and forth on the alignment tabs. I would have to tighten them up a little bit more every now an again which solved the issue for a while, but then it would return. Went back to the OEM Rubber Bushings, they stay in put much better and are a little more cushy then the whitelines. They transmit less felt vibration and minor bumps to the cab. I didn't see much benefit to the Poly Bushings on the LCA, IMO. Your mileage may vary.

Re routed my trans cooler lines so that it falls after the radiator to get the temps down a touch more on hot days and when I’m off-road. Interested to see how much of a difference that it will make. I’d imagine quite a bit.

I'm pretty amazed how high your temps were getting. I have a cooler and it sit around 150 most the time now. I don't think it's gone over 200 ever since I added a cooler.

Amateur hour camper build, just need to get the canvas done. There are a few more pictures in my build thread and I'll probably add more as it comes along.

Ah ok, hard to tell from the photo but looked like mig welds - not very common for aluminum. Nice work!

I scrubbed the surface rust off my exhaust and muffler a year ago with phosphoric acid and here's how it looks now. There's some natural discoloration from the heat but otherwise the stainless properties were preserved by using the correct type of acid. I never did bother to use the VHT clear coat I had planned. This is just bare metal.
