I’m not sure this is a mod. No sarcasm or anything I’m really not sure what qualifies. For me I would put this in the sub category of bolt on accessories.

After thinking about it, I concur with your statement. By definition modification is a upgrade that requires some type of change. Step rails is an accessory. My bad...

    Please share why. I'm curious.

This is totally a mod. You improved the look function and design. The fact a part exists to facilitate the upgrade is simply your smart enough to look. Anyone too jealous to imply otherwise is not.

Re: the trash comment, TW tends to crap on nerf bars in favor of sliders.

if you're planning on off roading the truck substantially, nerf bars don't provide a lot of protection and they make you more likely to hang up and cause damage because they decrease clearance.
Sliders can be set to use as a step (though generally less effectively), cost is ~ the same, and they provide good protection for an expensive panel.

On the other hand, if you don't wheel your truck, no reason not run nerfs.
And on the most important hand, it's your truck: if it makes you happy, go for it.

They look good. I like that they are lower profile than most step nerfs. I bought my truck with nerfs and they look like snot, plus they’re hardly functional at stock height on a gen 2. Got a link to these?

Thanks for your input. I rarely go off road. These are for my kids for easy access and they look good.

That was my take as well. I wasn't interested in the bars that only sat 1-2" lower than the frame. I had nerf bars on my previous Tacoma and I was happy with them.
