So as I’m getting older, my night vision isn’t what it used to be.

I want to tint my windows to keep out the heat but the standard 20-35% that most people do might be too dark.

If you’ve tinted the doors 55% can you post a picture. (there were no pictures of lighter than 35% in the tint thread that I searched)

Here’s a pic of my Lunar Rock for views:

Bought my 2019 back in March of 2019 and after about 2-3 months of ownership I went 5% all around with a 6inch-ish probably more sun strip also 5%. One thing if you want to keep heat out is to not get cheap tint have your shop use a higher quality tint that will block UV

When you tinted, did you also “retinit” the rear doors on the double cab? They are already tinted out of the factory.

I want to tint my front door windows to match the rear doors and back window. Trying to keep my black truck a little cooler. Or would I have tint all the glass?

I use 50% on the windshield, never really had issues at night. Should serve you well on the front windows.

35 is a pretty light film. I’m guessing 50 might be hard to even notice...

I’ve got 35% tint which greatly reduces visibility at night. Thinking about going 50% as well. I can’t find any Tacoma’s with 50% tint but I’ve found some cars on google if that helps.

It’s not much but it’ll give some protection from sun burn and better visibility.

What are they from the factory?

Based on other posts, about 30% tint for the rear Windows.

And the front windows are...how much? When looking at the interior from an angle it seems that the front windows are at least coated for reflection and it seems like they are slightly tinted. Or am I just blind?

My front Windows came untinted so maybe it’s a dealer option for others but I don’t know.

Get something that blocks UV light and has almost no tint. If I ever get another vehicle tinted that's what is going on the windsheild.

I don't like the winshield strip look :anonymous:

I got 15% all around (even added to the rear windows), and 50% on the windshield. It's honestly not bad at all. I was concerned it would be too dark, but it's not. Still need to wear sunglasses on a bright day.

Agreed. If/when my windshield gets replaced, I'm gonna throw on some transparent tint. GA sucks ass.

Bought my 2020 used, the front windows were tinted and not sure how much, but almost as much as rears. At night, turning corners is tricky, as it is hard to see into the direction I'm turning during tighter turns. In fact, the first time I experienced this, it was a bit discerning. I love the extra tint, especially during daytime, however night driving is worth giving a darker tint some additional consideration.

15% is really hard to see out at night, but works great on a sunny day.

Thanks. I’m pretty sure that the way I’m going to go as well.

I have an appointment on the 25th so I’ll post some pics once it’s done.

50% windscreen (not positive) - Don't flame me we all have our reasons.
