vF Tuner for the 3.5L Tacoma

It might just be me, but I'm not seeing any new maps or features in 1.2.9.9.9 aside from it doesn't flash anything except vfc's. I don't see any of the map switching features unless I'm missing them.

 

8 way EROM files for Tacoma to be released on Sunday with 1.3.0 is allegedly Mat’s plan. 1.2.9.9.9 has EROM files for Tundra.

You've had ovtune for awhile now right? Since the 1.05 days etc. right? If so, you may have it.

 

Since 1.03 before all of this “new” advanced tune tech.

I can’t remember what I bought last but since 1.5 I’ve been through about 9 tunes...maybe more. It’s a blur

 

Are the newest iterations of tunes being sent automatically to those that have purchased the master pack(obviously once they’re released)? Or do I need to re-request the whole thing?

 

I'm enjoying the 2.0 Tune and defiantly looking forward to the Ultimate. Any chance that removal of the 5mph limit on trucks with the 360 camera will ever be an option in the future? The front camera is nice for when your are going up hill and can't see over your hood, but the 5mph limit kinda ruins it.

 

Anyone know if the vftuner software website will be back up today? It says offline 5/14 and 5/15, trying to tune and no connection now I know why. Just thought it may be later today. Just drove several hours to do these.

 

Did you update to the new version? I got a no connection error with 1.2.9.9.8. Installed new version (1.2.9.9.9) and works fine.

 

Also 1.2.9.9.9 only flashes vfc’s so open vft and export to vfc

Oyeah I have all .vfc so they get their money every truck.

 

So if we bought the tune pack, do we then have to re-download the tunes from the website to get the updated files?

 

You can open the original tune pack files like you would normally do to edit and save them as a VFC file.

 

I got that part, I was wondering about this newfangled 8-way snazzydazzy...simply too much traffic to keep up in these threads.

The 2.0 EROM ultimate 8 way AT files for Tacoma will be downloaded along with the update to 1.3.0 supposedly to be available on Sunday. That’s what I understand so far.

MY files come later.

 

So MT files will be "coming soon"(tm) then?

EDIT: I'm just confused about all of the tune file editing going on, but I wonder if OVT incorporates any updates and fixes to the "tune pack" files at all? or do they assume that if we bought the full shebang that we know and understand enough to make all edits for ourselves, thus they don't need to update the files in the tune pack? if that made any sense...

Just saw that the server is offline, but I was able to register my VIN. Do I have to wait for the servers to come back up before doing the upgrade? I'm on 1.05 and all I see are stock vft files in the Tacoma 2016-2017 folder. TIA
