I find with my MT that it’s easy to push the clutch in but it’s actually just a smig off the floor and maybe that switch is not engaged. I just make sure I’m in neutral, clutch in and very rarely have an issue

Yep nut behind the wheel operator error. Took my sweet time yesterday and didn't even roll. Worked as designed. I am thinking I didn't have clutch pedal all the way..........duh :duh:

Are you working on a 3rd round of these? Did not see a post on the 4 sale section.

Yay! Got mine installed and love how it looks factory! Plus bonus: it seems to work and I get no errors! I still want to verify that the front wheels are not engaged when in 2LO but I'm betting it is working as intended at this point.

Not too worried about dealer pulling the warranty card either since it looks so clean it is unlikely the shop boys will notice the extra button.

I also did the button mod and pulled the little board out of the button case and put a very tiny bit of trimmed electrical tape over the "text" LED but left a tiny sliver near the top open. When I buttoned everything back up and closed the garage door, I can barely see the words in the dark with the headlights off, but the picture lights up nicely when engaged. I'm thinking it would not be worth the wiring effort to tie it into the dimmer circuit, so it will stay the way it is now.

Been unsung my 2Lo quite a bit lately, backing up loaded dump trailers into right spots usually in pavement. I couldn’t live without it!

Definitely a life saver if you tow any kind of trailer and live in a hilly region.

Not sure what the engineers were thinking.

Thank you Chris! Just did the 2WD lo mod, following your step-by-step. Everything went smoothly thanks to your photos and descriptions!

Which/who's guide did you use? "Chris" is pretty generic. :p Can you link the guide/post?

I ordered mine in August when I ordered the Taco. Got it installed today. Bit of a pain getting the panels off in close to freezing temperatures but all in and it works as advertised! No more smelly burnt clutch backing up the trailer.

Seconded. Was a lifesaver when I was towing a U-Haul for my move, and makes backing up into my relatively steep and rough driveway a cinch.
