Picked up the truck from the body shop last week. Bumper cover, fender flare, and right front wheel (TRD Ivan Stewart) replaced. I could have rubbed the paint out and fixed it 99% and replaced the scratched wheel, but that would have cost more than my deductible. State Farm coughed up $1600 + rental car.
Chick tried to wedge her Hyundai between me and the van in front of me. Needless to say, car had 1 year out of date registration, 1 year out of date inspection sticker, no insurance, and she had no ID. The good news is she sucked up a few tickets and I stuffed her driver side quarter. That thing probably went home on a flat bed.

Glad it worked out. Nothing on Earth annoys me as much as irresponsible driving mixed with an irresponsible person that doesn’t carry liability insurance to cover the cost of their F-ups.

The worst part was having to drive a Malibu for a few days. It reminded me why I haven't been without a truck for many moons.

Over the past year or so I have considered dropping full coverage on the truck, but I only pay $40/mo so I kept it. Glad I did.

BTW, congratulations on your reviews. I bet we have much in common.

Drove it back to Waterbury to finally fix that motor mount in the Chrysler 200.
Had another heater hose connector break that is plastic and nobody has them in stock.
I removed the connector and metal piece and replaced it with a heater hose union (straight piece of plastic) and a couple hose clamps.

Removed the vehicle tracker that was in the car.

    That job sucked.

    During the engineers meeting:
"Should we use metric or standard fasteners?"
    "Yes."

Fuel Door started sticking and rubbing...I looked it up...yup. Rusted hinge...
Cleaned the hinge with brake cleaner and WD-40 and then lubed it up with lithium grease...So far so good... 196,000

    Work in progress.
Finished install of new calipers, rotors, pads and brake lines today. I am very happy with the EBC rotors and pads. Their products are top of the line. There is a noticable improvement in stopping performance.

I got my rear wheel wells cut today. I’ll make liners tomorrow and then put the trimmed flares back on. Probably will wait a few days before liner install. I need to replace the upper supports & I don’t like how I did the front ones - they’re kinda flimsy.
