Starting the weekend off right. Friday afternoon bike ride followed with some fly fishing for wild trout up in the North Georgia mountains.

Got a chance to dial in the Decoy on some gnar runs. Upped the travel on the fork to 160, turned a few knobs, and damn it’s fun.
Love these kind of days. Chilly, overcast, foggy and cloudy, perfect dirt.

A lot for how that pic stands in its entirety. But I also didnt cheap out on a lot of stuff where you could easily save some money. Figure 1200 for the fridge, 2000ish for tent and rack, 600 for bike rack which is the bike base camp related stuff. Check the BST threads here and you can occasionally scoop deals on stuff to save some bucks too.

Any tips for remedying a sticky clutch on the rear mech? I think that’s the source of some shifting issues I’m experiencing.

Wheel off, release the clutch, take the clutch cover off, clean, add lube. Totally normal for Shimano clutch to need a re-grease.
Careful to keep everything together. The little rubber o(ish) ring is easy to lose, and DO NOT take everything apart. Just apply some lube, put back together.

    not enough.
god damn dude. I leave for 1 week and stop riding for 1.5 weeks and you hurt yourself.... tsk tsk.

what abacall said. but also, taking apart that clutch cover and putting in lube is extremely good idea mostly because we've seen clutch axles rust and break apart...and Shimano currently can't warranty them and you can't get new mechs. so...yeah. take care of your shimano gear.

That could have helped me twice! First time it happened the roof rack slid back as far it could then the foot started digging in & proceeded to punch four holes completely through the roof. The kicker: had just a few months prior got truck out of the body shop with ~4k in body work from rolling the truck onto its side.

Anyone have a hitch rack & the cross traffic/back up sensors? Curious how affected they are when bikes are on a hitch rack.

*Bonus points for anyone with experience with a 1up.

My backup sensors have to be turned off while I have my Yakima rack mounted to the hitch (loaded or unloaded) or they just beep non-stop. Good news is the cross-traffic sensors still work.

    -1 for no 1up
