What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Bought it on eBay $360, got it in about a week and 1/2 from China. Totally plug & play. It comes with everything you need to install it. I'm still learning my way around the settings!!!!

What parts or kit did you go with? I need to get new brakes soon, at least rotors and pads.

 

Got the roof rack yesterday and put it on. Holy shit this thing is loud, like unbearably loud at around 40-50.

I didn’t install the front piece because I have a light bar coming on Tuesday so hopefully that helps with the noise. All in all it’s nice for the money though as long as it quiets down

Installed the arb diff breather kit.

I'm pretty sure you need to put on the front plate for it to quiet down. There fab up some mounts for the ight bar.

 

New Raptor style grille, lights and trd emblem

 

WOW! Those are awesome aftermarket head lights. Really updates the look of the truck. Nice job!

 

Installed a Gentex mirror with temp, compass and Homelink to fix something that Toyota could not figure out - external temp. Just need to finish by installing the wire cover.
Shout out to Bob at Bob's Mirrors! Great product including the wiring harness that made installation pretty simple. Bob is also a great help.

 

Door on the original storage cubby broke and I got tired of popping the hood to hook up the compressor. Used that to justify buying an arb compressor and allpro cubby.

Redid most of the arb wire harness to get rid of the extra connectors I don't use and move the fuse to the engine bay which was then swapped out for a circuit breaker.

Reworked the pins on the locks so that only 1 key is needed.

 

Got my mini me out and adjusted the front coilovers to remove some of the rake I had. Then took the time to re-adjust my back and show my son a little more about the truck.

 

I finally hand washed and clay barred today ! Put some Chemical Guys White light polish and sealant on then topped it off with Turtle Wax Ceramic wax spray . Smooth and shiny .

 

Putting my summer wheels back on this week also .

 

Camped outside of Sedona and rode some of the best trails in all of AZ. IF YOU HAVENT HEARD ME SAY IT YET - MY 5:29 GEARS ARE SO FREAKING POWERFUL AND IDEAL EVEN ON LONG HAUL HIGHWAY CRUISES AT 74MPH ON 35’s!! See last 2 pics for real-time vitals while 74MPH on the I-17

 

Did a mediocre job of cleaning the engine bay

 

Gave the racks a once over, cleaned and waxed the roof of the cap and the cabin and installed heated Clazzios.

 

Drove it to race weekend. That's all. Also fuck Firestone, they did an absolute terrible job on my alignment
