Needed to get out of the house and do something.

Picked up 16 gb more ram from microcenter. Apparently 8gb is not a happy amount for COD.

Went out of the way to stop at a brewery I haven't gone to in a while.

 

Tell me you picked up a dedicated 2TB M.2 NVMe ssd for it too like some of us did

 

Well, i built the PC 4 years ago so drive options were limited. My boot drive is a 256gb Samsung.

It's on a separate 512gb M2. I load into multiplayer maps before anyone in the lobby consistently.

Campaign is a slideshow and it was maxing out my 8gb ram so hopefully I can actually play campaign now.

Oh dude you're better off than I am I bet; my PC is almost 6 years old?

I'm running an Intel 6770k; only thing helping me hit 2k resolution on max are the GPUs and RAM.

I have a 7600k and RX 480 so I'm not too far ahead.

I can play on high and lower resolution upscaled for my 4k monitor

I would love to have more space... On the other hand it is a size that I could still manage the upkeep on without killing myself.

A buddy has 4.5ish acres and it takes a lot out of him to just manage weeds/grass

I didn't realize how costly a nice patio door set can cost in lieu of stupid sliding doors.

I have a dual back door and it never seals quite right.... But you shouldn't have to worry about snow blowing in.

Yup, even commercial zero turns couldn't handle it. Even 2acre properties are pushing the zero turn limits depending on terrain conditions

 

Upgrades we opted for;

convert the den into a bedroom
covered patio leading to the rear entrance, and concrete slab
extended island
selected our own granite counter tops
selected our own laminate flooring
dedicated circuit to the garage (for a welder)
dual sinks in the bathroom
pre-wired for ceiling fans in the bedrooms

and a ton of other stuff that's already considered as standard

The developer didn't add an option for pre-wiring the house so I may opt to do that myself for a smart home/monitoring solution for the outside

Backyard will be bare dirt, front will have nice lawn

I was looking into tree types that I will look into getting planted, as we don't want anything overwhelmingly large or one that comes with a lot of maintenance. Then there's also the shed we want to add too.

Rear patio entry is via sliding door though so we'll be replacing that ourselves later down the road.
