Anyone have experience with the all pro long travel CV boots? Just picked up to oem axles in need of a rebooting.

No experience with those, but new OEM boots seem to be as good as anything, really. I know Mike @Digiratus had the red extended boots from CVJ, but had at least one split and has since converted to the OEM boots. I don't think he's had those split at all.

I've had my new OEM boots installed for ~3 years now and I do a lot of miles. No problems.

OEM boot kit: (04438-04021) - and half the price of the All Pro...

Yeah I’ve always had good success with oem. I’ll just do that again.

it’s not half the price tho to be fair. The all pro comes with enough for 2 axles. So it’s only like $10 bucks more.

do you carrier spares? If so how and where do you store them?

I keep my spare in a plano bin with other tools/spares & stuff.
I keep it in a cardboard box that's a pretty tight fit for it but works well. Then tape up the splines & outside of the box to reinforce it.
Wherever you put it, just pack stuff around it so it doesn't get knocked around

Replaced inner tie rods because the alignment shop said they’re worn but they came out tight as new

They probably just told you that hoping you'd have them do the job, an upsell sort of thing. I would def take those kinds of recommendations with a grain of salt

I’m going to a different alignment shop later today. At least the 555s were in stock locally.

Yeah they probably would have slapped some $20 TRQ branded ones on there so it's good you did it yourself.

I'm in the process of replacing my CV axles. Pulled the dust cover off the passengers side and this is what it looks like. Not sure if the stuff in the bottom left inside where the dust cover would have been is brake dust or what. Dust cover itself is in great shape. Is it ok for there to be this dust inside the dust cover?

That looks clean as heck to me. I wouldn’t worry a bit. Wipe it out and slap it back together

Installed a trans cooler from Hayden (677).
Sucky thing was that the kit came with only 4' of A/T tubing.
Went to O'Reillys and got "tubing" and turns out it was for fuel injection, not A/T tubing. I found out during my install that fuel injection tubing can kink = no bueno.
Scrambled and found a local parts shop that sell A/T tubing by the foot.
    Installed the correct tubing.

Then got a ScanGauge II on recommendation from @Digiratus and programmed it for TFT temps.

Got up the next morning and drove from Seattle area to outside of Twin Falls, ID (sublett campground) on the way to Moab, UT.

Txted @Digiratus and @drr on the trail for expected trans temps - all was in range.

Temps were good with exception at one area - Sand Flats Rec area to Porcupine Rim towards the dispersed camping on the super sketch road and rather steep.
Turns out I was low on trans fluid.

    All better.
