All of the exit numbers changing is confusing. Seems like GPS is behind on the changes in RI, but ahead of the changes in MA.

I’ve bought and sold lots of sets of tires and wheels and never used a depth gauge. I
let the photos speak for themselves and give an estimate of the miles on the tires and let people draw their own conclusions. Generally, I just look at craigslist and see what similar sets are selling for and price accordingly, usually on the lower end so they sell quick. Where i’m at now, Super Duty stuff is expensive so it’s not out of the realm of possibility for me to get over $1k. Tacoma stuff is much more common and less expensive, you’re probably looking a bit less.

I've got one, I can check them for you if you want to swing them by some night this week.

Alternatively, you could purchase this for $3.99 ya filthy cheapskate.

Is that the hybrid one? My friends wife has one she’s put a lot of highway miles on it.

yes, actually we are looking at the plug in hybrid. Before we bought the outback, we test drove a rav4 and it felt cheap, but that was back like 8 years ago

That's actually not as much of a moonshot as you'd think. I sold those wheels two years ago for $400 and stock tires for like $370. I could see a decent $600+ offer easily enough since they're a slightly bigger tire. Beats the $400 offers the "experts" here will tell you're they're worth. You'll get some hilarious messages too demanding you research if it fits their 1982 Trekker or something of the like.

Worst case, use a penny and then measure the depth like that.

Not sure what the prime is..my wife had a 2005 for 11 years, loved it. Currently a 2014 and she's thrilled.

How many miles do you get to a tank on your Dyna? I can get about 150 miles to a tank on my Raider, and I had enough riding after that many miles in a day!

The prime is plug in hybrid. 90 plus mpgs if you can run on primarily battery. It’s like 40 something miles, and she puts on about 20 a day. I like the fact you still have a gas tank and are not screwed if you don’t plan your charges right. It’s like 40 something MPGs in hybrid mode.

Ahhh I dig. Can't speak to that feature but can say the Rav4 is a great vehicle. One non-routine problem in 11 years and 110K miles..and it already had 60K when we got it.

    Depends on how im riding.
I built the motor on the Dyna, the winter before last... but.. 150ish... if I'm getting after it in the mountains(usually means solo), I can drop it down to 100 easy. Gets thirsty very fast...
My Road king can do 200+ miles easy

So, pretty much the same as my Raider. If I ride VERY conservatively, I might be able to get 180-190 miles on a tank, but like my truck, I try to fill up around a 1/4 of a tank.

The toyota/covid tax is a real struggle. i drove 4hrs south to look at three trucks in PA hoping they would be cleaner (carfax showed they were from that area as well).

    1. First truck was very clean. looked like a southern vehicle with minimal salt exposure. Ran well but had a couple issues. Either a wheel bearing or a CV axle was howling from the drivers side, 3 pending CEL codes for 300, 3001, 3002 (misfire codes), back tires were bald. I told him with the CEL and the bald tires it wouldn't pass a safety/emission inspection in NY.
    2. Second truck. They send me pictures, "super clean, just surface rust underneath." the floor pan and body mounts were so rusty, they were soft.
    3. Third truck. Horrible paint. clear coat was gone and the surface felt like emery cloth. it started to rain during my test drive. i used to shirt sleeve to try to rub down the paint to see if it was just grime. My shift sleeve started to turn white! The paint was transferring to my sleeve as a scrubbed on it like old vinyl siding. Under the hood, the paint was all flaked away with just the primer left.
all three of these were at name brand dealerships (dodge, nissan, and toyota).
This Pro 4X Xterra is looking like a pretty solid vehicle pending a test drive.

either that or the frontier might be a better choice at this point. They don’t rust as much and tend to be a bit cheaper. And are also great trucks.
