    1984 me would have killed for an under 2K manual transmission because he'd learned the joy of downshifting into 3rd and accelerating through a corner but ended up with his mother's 1978 Corolla instead. That car killed joy.

    Perhaps the young man hasn't had the opportunity to experience this sensation? I think it might change his mind, because that would be a fantastic car to experience it in.

    it really is a bad ass car and I got it for $1,000 because the a/c wasn't working. a new denso compressor and a new condenser and now it has that freeze you to death TOYOTA ac. :)

    maybe he'll come around...

    Then they can't afford a Tesla.

    Edit - the guy across the street's new girlfriend has a Tesla X. When he starts ranting on that car, bring a chair and a drink. Pure entertaining hate comedy, like Louis Black meets Top Gear.
