In spirit of this, I finished college. Got a job, decided to go back to school, now mid-way through 2nd career and got a different job lol. Looking to buy a samurai as a trail rig, totally gave up on any of marlin products. Was about to purchase a tacobox a year ago but no longer made.

At this point I think the race for delivering a functional LT kit before Marling is between me, my 7 year old son, and @EatSleepTacos 's 6 month old son. Mine should be done this summer, and the boy has some prototype sketches for his...

dude my oldest was born two months before this thread, he’s turning 3 in December and already helps me wrench on my truck. He’ll probably be 21 before this shit comes out.

RST and Marlin are the same thing. One just has more experience behind him, which he humbly owes the the OG, but chooses to ruin the name instead.

Gotta teach them young. Mine's been wrenching since about 3, and was working on the house renovation with me about the same age.

If it ever goes into production I’m sure somebody will measure it. That may be 10 years from now.

I got a bad taste in my mouth when I got an email asking to sign up to receive one of the first kits. It also implied fronting a deposit. This was over 2 yrs ago...... Glad I went with a company that can get shit done and ready a lot faster than MC. And I get actual phone calls from them updating me.

No, Enlisted. You are mostly right though. I was an RTO once upon a time and my PL (3-6) I served under was killed several years later in a green on blue in Afghanistan.
