I’ll wait, don’t spend time on that. I’ll take the whole Shabang when it’s done. Just know we’re all pumped for the tune.

I know you’re pulled between 1.3, tundra folk, and guys that haven’t received turbos yet. Selfishly, already installed turbo dudes should take precedence

The release of 1.2.9.9.9 got tundras pretty much all done. Flash issues fixed, tune packs, etc etc. Few remaining things but tundra is done.

1.3 update is big but not keeping me away from this. It's all done at the same time. Also 1.3 update is not a hard deadline, and I'm still sending lite licenses.

Yes I agree, which is why I'm trying to get all of this (cold drive patch, new tunes, etc) done. It's not schedule for "after 1.3" or "in 2 weeks" it's scheduled for "as soon as cold table tune is done"

I know the guys waiting on kits are getting ancy, but all of this will make their install and tune 100x easier.

    Kk.

It is important (general, for everyone) to understand if you have intake or exhaust leaks, it can pretty much make a lot of the custom tuning done while that leaks was there moot. It's not that I don't want to update things, but updating while a leak is present is ...well .. Not actually helping.

pending tune packs will be sent to everyone as soon as possible. All tune packs are being converted to VFC for our new version (please be sure you're on the latest 1.2.9.9.9)

I mean I don't know how else to tell you that 2021 Tundra isn't supported... I think I have told you this * at least * 10 times. Outside of the ECU swap option we will be offering, there is nothing else that can be done.

I can appreciate that, but at the same time, I think support for an entire model year that requires an ECU swap is more than a "few little things" remaining to be completed on the Tundra. Not upset, not rushing you, I just know a lot of people are waiting on a lot of things and figured transparent information would make them feel better. Makes me feel better.

I honestly don't know how to be more transparent when I say it is not supported and we will announce when it will be. When I talk about what is being done on the Tundra I'm not talking about ones we don't support. I honestly don't know how this isn't clear.

Since you’re responding here, does the 2021 4Runner have the same issue as the 2021 Tundra in that it will require an ECU swap?

2021 4Runner isn't supported and I do not know if a ECU swap will work. Very unlikely since 2020+ 4Runner went to a completely new BM / Security control on Gen2 ECUs.

For 2020+, I'm assuming we have to wait for a cuw file to drop. Maybe. @OVTune ?

It is not clear because of the manner in which you disseminate information. It is in several places, not always consistent, and you say things like this (April 5):

    and this (April 10)(emphasis added):

    and this (April 16)(emphasis added):

    and this (April 16):

and this (April 19) referring to me and one other being the first in line for support but then saying that 2020+ support is only for a few select people at the moment:

and this (April 20) again referring to me and another member being the first on the 2020+ ECU list:

    and this (May 3):

You clearly have a ton of pots on the fire, and like I have said a bunch of times....Tundra doesn't NEED a tune like a Tacoma does so I'm not even unhappy to wait, but come on, don't blame your customers for the lack of clarity in the information that is provided. We just want to know what is going on. If its something that is not actually coming for a year....thats fine! Just say that so those of us with 2021 Tundras can move forward accordingly (for me this would be tuning a friend's Tacoma with the VFT credits I have and probably selling them my OVTune cable).

Yes and you can see how from our initial development on the 2020/21, which we expected to have it all done, had changed due to some required changes in the code Something our initial tester did not tell us, and we only found out on our own. And it seemed, at least to me pretty clear on April 20th the current status.

When I said all tundras I meant all currently tunable tundras.. (april 16th) Our website does not list 20/21s as compatible.

I have also said to you a few times as well on my forum.

There is NO ETA On 2020/21 Tundra full support. NO ETA.

We can provide an ECU swap. That's it right now. The files we do have that work are not being given to anyone, so there is no other option.

Nothing has changed from anything that has been previously said. There is no full support for 20/21 Tundras.

I am not blaming you or anyone. But I know for a fact I have said multiple times there is no eta on 2020/21 Tundra support being ready. And I know I explained that my 2020 tester, who was testing for nearly a year neglected to tell me a very important part of the testing..

April 20+ I am talking about you guys getting the ECUs I have.

I think that is where the confusion lies Mat. You can provide an ECU Swap.....right now.....which I am 1st or 2nd in line for according to your other statements.

I sent this to ZenDesk on April 16:

I received this response 17 days later on May 3:

I don't think anyone is trying to trick you, be mean to you, or get you to say something that is going to cause you grief in the future. It is actually very helpful that all of this support is in writing so we can clearly reference it as we go.

So for clarity's sake....can I get an ECU swap for my 2021 Tundra now or not? Does that include tunes?

Okay I didn't send you that email ticket, so that is the thing. We get dozens and dozens of people asking about 2020/21 Tundra tuning support, and I don't know how to reference a forum username to a zendesk ticket so when it is someone asking to buy a tune for a 20/21 tundra it gets an automatic not supported response.

As soon as I have the ECUs ready. It's honestly not a priority at this very moment.

He posted this at 5:53am today:

Probably have to migrate to his forum in order to continue getting "real time" support.
