What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Made my rear wheel well liners and installed the flares. I’ll install the liners next weekend after I figure out fender supports.

I also deleted the anti-sway bar because the tires were rubbing on it at full lock. (I was already thinking of removing it anyway).

not crazy hard... I have a bad shoulder so it took longer and was a bit more painful than it needed to be. There are some tricks that helped along the way. Laying them out in the sun for a bit helped - they are tight but I think that’s what makes them look so good.

 

Bought some old man emu leaf springs and installed them right away.

 

Nice. I have the same bumper on order. Hoping it shows up in about 4 to 6 weeks.

 

This weekend did 5 qts of Mobil 1 oil and a Toyoya filter. Also finally got the Fumoto valve installed on about the 3rd or 4th oil change since I bought the damn thing. Also did the front diff fluid and swapped to the Lexus drain plug.
5 tire rotation and greased the driveline. Looks like one of my new lower ball joints might already be starting to go bad after only about 10,000 miles.

 

Mine showed up a few days early but the winch took a few weeks longer than expected. At least Road Armor communicates extremely well!

 

What is your impression of them ?

 

Found out today that I have a nasty rattle under the truck. Sounds like it's coming from the driver's side cat heat shield. I'm waiting for it to cool off before I go poke at it.

Added my Dakars back in the truck. They've got 2 add a leaf's now to make the 46xl+ pack. Holding 750lb no problem now Also added pads and greased everything, no squeaks for now!
