    UPDATE!!!

Thanks to UPS' mishandling of the rack in shipping, it is gone forever. destroyed and discarded by some oaf in their New York facility. Quite a depressing turn of events for both myself, and the person who purchased it. I refunded the buyer and am hoping UPS doesn't screw me on the insurance claim so I can also refund the shipping cost to the buyer.

On that note. Soft topper is still available, but I will not ship it. I'm currently out a really sick bed rack and the cash i was going to sell it for and I'm not willing to take that chance again.

Parts came off a 2018 DCSB

Switching up my setup in my bed so I'm getting rid of a couple things to fund my new project.

I picked up this Mobtown rack last summer and had it primed and powder coated locally. The finish is in great shape with no damage. Comes with all the hardware you need to put it together and mount it to the truck. SOLD!!

The Softtopper is in great shape as well, it could use a good cleaning, but has no leaks or tears. It comes with a clear back window(current setup), and a brand new mesh back window, as well as the waterproof cover that goes over the whole setup when its folded down. It also has an LED strip wired in the frame and a cargo net as well. I have clamps for mounting into the tacoma track system as well clamps for typical mounting on other trucks. $500 OBO

    I'm located in Savannah GA

How does that rack work with the Softopper rails?!

Also, I've never seen anyone take the ST off that way, but not a bad idea lol

The softopper rails sit on the mounting rails for the rack. The softopper rails are actually longer than the rack at the rear of the truck near the tailgate, so I used some medium density adhesive foam tape to fill the gap at the rear of the truck. It's a very functional system, I never had any water intrusion issues, even through very heavy rain. My buddys $3k ARE shell leaked more water into his bed than this setup did on my Taco.

Also I've always removed my soft shell that way, I've got space in my garage and it makes it way easier to put back on later.

Just curious, are you able to collapse the softopper while the Mobtown rack is over it, or does the rack get in the way?

I'm not sure, I've never tried it. This question was asked a while ago in another topic, but I'm not sure if it ever got figured out.

I had a tan ST...I'd surprised if you could collapse it because the top bar at the back end needs room to arc forward (up). Doesn't look like there is enough clearance, but maybe it would work

I have a softopper too, and was considering this rack. I’d prefer to be able to close the topper with the rack in place

I've never folded my softopper down, but i just watched a demo video on youtube, and it seems like the topper has to Arc up to fold, so I don't think there's room under the rack to allow for that.

But my question is, why do you want to lower the topper under the rack?

Nice--somebody got a cool rack that's kind of hard to find.

Bump for Softopper--I love mine and have had at least 2 people compliment and ask about mine just this weekend.

Thanks for the link--I was trying to figure out how to best do this too.
