And anyone familiar with HID lights? I was messing around trying to measure the output on mine last night and after frying two multimeters and Cobbling them together to make one I measured the passenger ballast to produce 82v and .42A operating which is just under the claimed 35w.

After fixing the bulb placement I realized the passenger is much brighter than the driver side. Don’t know if it is because of a power difference that I should measure or if it is because of bulb clarity shown in pics

Thanks for the ask. I'm running some mirrors from a black LX470. I think I'm well stocked on stuff at the moment. I need to get busy and finish installing the stuff that's taking up 1/2 of my garage. Ha!

 

That was a busy weekend. My brother commissioned with the Air Force on Friday and graduated with his bachelor’s on Saturday. Proud of him and glad he succeeded after years of people doubting him.

And Friday the business services coordinator at work accidentally let me know that TxDOT was talking with her about hiring me. Which would be a significant pay increase, more time off, and better benefits from my current contractor position.

 

Depending on the years of the first gens I'd be interested in the side view mirrors. I want the bigger ones off the 01-04 years to replace my tiny pre2000 mirrors lol

 

You're always going to have some fade with HID after a while. Also the passenger is going to be brighter cause it's overlaying on top of the driver side. Does switching the bulbs flip the issue?
