That was a busy weekend. My brother commissioned with the Air Force on Friday and graduated with his bachelor’s on Saturday. Proud of him and glad he succeeded after years of people doubting him.

And Friday the business services coordinator at work accidentally let me know that TxDOT was talking with her about hiring me. Which would be a significant pay increase, more time off, and better benefits from my current contractor position.

Depending on the years of the first gens I'd be interested in the side view mirrors. I want the bigger ones off the 01-04 years to replace my tiny pre2000 mirrors lol

You're always going to have some fade with HID after a while. Also the passenger is going to be brighter cause it's overlaying on top of the driver side. Does switching the bulbs flip the issue?

I think there are two or three. I’m confused what switch you are talking about? I can definitely check though

Are you talking about the light pattern overlaying on top of each other? If so I realized that halfway though but it is still a pretty significant difference covering up one headlight to look at the other.

I swapped driver bulb into passenger side and it is definitely dimmer but I didn’t swap passenger to driver to check them vs each other.

I’m really hoping it is just the hazy bulb making the output bad. Ordering a new set of bulbs today I think because these are probably on borrowed time after how much I moved them around and touched them last night

this pic you can kinda see brightness without as much overlay

Remember the Pokemon gameboy tunes? Holy shit, I just played this and it gave me a feeling of anxiety I haven't felt since ~8th grade. That was weird

electric mirrors are 25ish which I’m pretty sure would be the larger mirrors
manual mirrors are 14ish if they got them

Yeah lol. After weighing the pros and cons I think it’s the smart move. If this contractor wanted to keep me they wouldn’t have offered me a lower salary than what their client pays IT workers. Just going to be awkward putting my two weeks in.

I had ball in a cup which was way more entertaining

Actually I think I was a little old for the Pokemon gameboy game craze, but my younger brother was wrapped up in it and got me hooked on it as well.

He was all into the card trading and stuff too

It will be super awkward when the new contractor guy shows up. “Yeah I took this job because your job paid less”

I'll take electric or manual. I've got the manual now but I can wire in a switch to make the electric ones work

The driver side is also misaligned with the cutoff slope. Should be a little higher and more towards passenger side. The passenger side is bluer than the driver though.
