Added my Dakars back in the truck. They've got 2 add a leaf's now to make the 46xl+ pack. Holding 750lb no problem now :thumbsup:Also added pads and greased everything, no squeaks for now!

One of my friends gave me his 3rd gen trd off road wheels for free. I put them on my 2nd gen. I really like how they look.

Today, I sat and scratched my head to try and determine how big this is going to be when I hit it with a grinder...

Well, initially it was patch it up, but this looks like I will be really cutting into this spot. Not sure if I have the DIY skills to get that shape together. I recently replaced quarter panels on my integra and that was simple, but I already had the panels. I didnt have to cut and fab up the shape from scractch.

I tried looking for some new to me bed sides or a bed, but around here everything is in the same if not worse condition. I suppose I will wait until I take a grinder to this to see what the real game plan will be. But you better believe I will keep scouring the internet for new to me bedsides or bed in the meantime lol.

looks interesting to me as well.

I think this is the link

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/164471819734?fits=Model:Tacoma

here's my question for youthough. It runs on an Android 10 platform, according to the details on the ebay page.

It also says is supports CarPlay, but not iPod.

Can you confirm you've seen something on the interface that even hints to CarPlay capability?

Awesome build! Really leaning towards that rear HC bumper, looks really clean. What wheels are you running?

I'm probably in the wrong but is this not useless? The kid that owns it can't be over 21 & I'd enjoy watching him get a kayak up there. To each their own but I laugh at something like this truck.

    Eh, to each their own.

In today's stupid. I got in the truck (I've owned it a year and a half at this point), drove to the gym. Came back out, hear a metallic rattling when I turn. Think, okay, something broke loose. So I drive around and listen, it only happens when I'm taking off or otherwise giving it the beans. Get home, park it, realize it's happening intermittently parked, so definitely something vibration based. Exhaust? Fan?

Get under the truck since I hear it more on the driver's side. Stupid catalytic converter internal heat shield is loose. I didn't even look to see what was wrong, I just went inside so it could cool off. Come back out later, the two bolts that hold the internal heat shield sandwiched between the parts of the external heat shield are gone. I have no idea what happened to them, I haven't touched that area ever, why in the world did it take a year and a half to finally vibrate loose.

Whatever. New bolts and nuts in place now. No more rattle.

Yeah there's a lot of sacrificing in having that as a daily or anything else. It's common where I live so I don't really think about it much and not limited to Tacomas.
Personally, builds that large just aren't functional, but I'm positive that wasn't their end goal. haha.
