So should we update to the newest VFtuner, or wait for another update? I thought there may be another update this week coming or is the current newest version the one to update to?

Is 04B42 - MT - T-0003-21 still Canadian only, or has it hit us down here yet?

So, this maybe a stupid question...

What does the "editing" get you vs lite?
I know nothing about editing tunes. Is it easy enough to upgrade at a later date?

Just not sure if it is worth it for ME...I have no been keeping up until recently, and I have a lot of catching up to do.
Once I get that answer, I will reply with VIN, etc.

    Thanks

The flash software / CUW is identical for both US and Canada. The US TSB is TSB-0043-20 Rev 1.

Yes. You can easily upgrade to viewing / editing tunes later.

I was unsure when vF launched, but editing has been fun.

Where can I go to read what the "Tacoma EROM files" are please? Also, with the new update to v1.3 will the tune files get updated with latest programming, and if so how do I download them? Note I am referring to the files i got when I originally bought the "tune pack".

editing can be fun. but only if you're really into it.

you don't need the edit version at all unless you just want to dive into that. the premade tunes, flashable w/o editing, are straight up good now. some of the tunes are locked and you cant even edit them at all, which for at least one of them is fine by me, and i'm super picky.

??? thought the Editing vs Lite had to do with Free upgrade vs Paid Upgrade ? Figured if we paid the $79 fee to upgrade from P5F to .VFT which allowed us to edit and flash we would get the same when doing the update to .VFC via the update to 1.2.9.9.9 or 1.3.0.0.0 ???

    Oof!

I can't make out your question, but the post above was about getting FMR. It is a free, flash only update.

If folks test drive that and want to upgrade to a full vF License they would have to contact @OVTune , just like current upgrade folks. I assume it is the same: Free upgrade with a dongle exchange and $79 for dongless peeps.

We have been using VFC files since the new Flash Tool launched. There is no change or cost here other than the fact that we can only flash VFC files on Version 1.2.9.9.9 and up.

Ok, so I apologize that I have not been following this for a while, but for somebody who has the old flash kit with an orange tactrix, what do I need to do to get updated to VFTuner? I don't want to edit tunes or anything, just want to be able to flash the latest version for my ECU. I am still on the last 2.0 beta that had gear lock and the ignition hesitation. Is there an easy explanation of the process in an FAQ somewhere?

thanks - Yes my post may have been off - I did not know there was a Free "FMR" option - I have always been on the Pay Your Way option. Good to know my $79 fee to go from P%F to .vft will allow me full edit/flash on the .vfc. Looking forward to 1.3.0.0.0 to be released and save my another update. Carry on - Thanks for clarification/information.

FMR is just rolling out. It looks like last weekend @OVTune was getting folks setup who requested it.

Oh yeah. Check out the threads in the Perf and Tuning forums for editing examples. Also, look in this vF installation folder:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\vF Tuner\Tuning Resources

It contains all of the released tuning guides. The Tundra S/C guide will give you some basics there. I believe one for the Tacos will be coming?

Have you updated your software? We don't have any pending credit orders. So if you haven't got credits, you need to update.
