I just had the OEM lift installed on my MGM DCLB TRD sport. Lookng at wheels and tires, im fine with cutting plastic, but don't want to do the CMC, or use spacers. Anyone out there have experience with a wide wheel, -10mm plus off set, and a 275/65-R17- 285/65-R17 tire size? I'm looking for a wider stance, and dont mind going to a 16" rim either.

1.5 front lift, 1 inch rear lift, matte black vinyl bedside and wheel decals, tinted windows, and OEM tri-fold bed cover.
Following - I'm in the same boat. I want bigger tires after my lift, but I also don't want to carve up a $40+k truck if I don't have to.

Go with 285s but it’s all about the offset on the wheels to help with rubbing on a lift. I’m installing 5100s with ome 887 this weekend and going 285s on 16” wheel.

Do you have before and after picks? Considering the OEM lift. Thanks.

I got a set of 275/70 R17 Ko2. Seriously tough size to find. My research shows that this size of tire will rub on the upper control arm, I also just ordered a set of the gunmetal gray Trd Pro Sema wheels, which seem to have a +4 offset. Anyone out there running a 275/70n R17 ko2 tire, on stock set up, or 2” front 1.5” back lift, or a leveling kit. Really want to know if this will fit and I want to avoid spacers.

265/75/16 on a 16x8 IMO still look good on a 2” lift. That being said. Mostly likely CMC , plastic trimming are in order for 285’s. Plus more caster on alignment will help. Good luck

Ill post some pics later today, but until i get new rims/ tires i think the truck looks kind of weird. Like its riding around small doughnuts.

Going with 275/ 70 R17 shouldn’t need a CMC, just minor plastic trimming.

I have a small lift 2/1.5 and running 265/70/17 tires on a -10mm wheel and I don't think it looks off at all. I could probably get away with a wider tire, but I don't want to have a heavier tire weight.

Below are a couple pics of my truck. a few things to consider. 1) its all personal preference 2) i have a DCLB, I’ve seen stock setup on the short bed that look great but not so much on the DCLB 3) I’m running stock rims with have a +20 something offset and aren’t super wide. So in my opinion the truck makes my tires look tiny. This is right after the 2” front 1.5” OEM lift.8ADC03BF-6FCF-4398-820F-3E561A96CA13.jpgBC893A85-8273-4720-873F-0E2349923D46.jpg

Okay, I see what you're saying on the other thread - the LB doesn't help.

I'd look at 265/70/17 with a wheel that has some negative offset to give it a bit of poke. The tire is slightly larger than stock but nothing that should cause too bad of rubbing that some heat gunning and plastic trimming can't fix.

Right! Man these tires look hell tiny lol, my wife asked me if i got new smaller tires after i lifted it…. FML. Anyway I haven’t decided on a rim just yet, but supposedly the 275/70 R17 wont rub the upper control arm. I will see soon, and if that doesn’t work then I think I’m going to go with the TRD Pro Sema wheels in mat gunmetal? Idk. They run at +4 off set aren’t super wide, i would like -10 off set with a wide rim, but just haven’t found the look i want to go with just yet. What rim are you running?

I'm running SCS Stealth 6 in dark matte bronze. Love everything about them. When I was looking at wheels to get I spent a ton of time in the tires/wheels section here. Going through all the pictures and figuring out what I liked.

Here is the clearance. Super tight with the upper control arm. But no rubbing at all.
