Looking great man, looks absolutely mint!

looking forward to the fight against Ontario to get these on our trucks without needing to fight against the MTO for forums to fillout on a daily basis. just want to turn the truck into a home, not use it as a flat bed to pick up cars off the road

Just point out that a Tacoma doesn't have the payload to carry the gear bags of your local Oil Barons junior hockey team, let alone a full grown moose. That should be a convincing enough argument.

If that doesn't work, just slide some Tim bits and a double-double across the desk surreptitiously.

This is really cool! Super clean and looks really functional. I like what you are doing.

If I may make one suggestion, why not go with an amber/orange/yellow turn signal? They are much easier to see in full sunlight.

Glad you like it! Great suggestion! The reason we went with a red signal light was the the factory 3rd Gen Tacoma is a red signal light. That being said, we have the orange lights available as well, and can supply them upon request. Majority of North American vehicles also use a red signal light, but we can certainly accommodate that request, no problem at all.

Only way this could be any better is if you could have a fuel tank for another 50 litres or so.

This will still work with the Long Range Automotive extended range fuel tank. There's also room for a fuel tank underneath the tray itself. Or... Remove the spare and install a spare tire fuel tank, and you can easily add that in there too, since the spare can live on the tray or on the canopy!

Shown here is a 84" long, 76" wide flatbed on a 2017 DCLB Tacoma TRD Off-Road.

Let me know what you think!

265/75R16 Wildpeak AT3W, Softopper, Kicker speakers, shift knob, Ventvisors, Tint, Husky Weatherbeaters, Hondo Garage radio knobs. The to do list: Bilstein 6112/5160, 3 leaf add-a-leafs, lights, alu skid, PRP seat covers...
This looks amazing. Did you guys weigh the bed assembly when you were removing it? I'd love this but the DCLB has the lowest payload of all 4x4 Taco's cause Toyota didn't increase the GVWR to compensate for the longer truck so we get docked 150ish lbs for wanting a more function truck. Would hate to further increase function and lose even more payload. Seriously my DCLB has like 150lbs more payload than my awd Matrix did. I know it will depend on configuration for the weight of your flatbed, but just curious. Would love to have this with a half canopy setup and side load my sport ATV without having to go back to a Tundra because of payload.

Thank you! Glad you like it! The DCLB bed weighs roughly 275~ lbs. Unfortunately the moment you load a quad into the back of the factory bed, you're over the GVWR.

If you upgrade to Dobinson's heaviest leaf pack, you'll unofficially gain some serious payload capacity.

If you went with the Contractor 84 set up you would be at 320lbs without tool boxes or drawer. The 3ft (half) canopy will weigh about 100lbs as well.

GVWR sucks, but if you're not concerned about the number and get bigger springs under there, you'll operate without issue! Hope this helps!

The GVWR does stink but properly upgraded, my MT AC has been doing fine w/o any breakdowns for 40,000 miles carrying a constant minimum load of 7,000 lbs over some tough terrain.
