Found an open box dealer at the badlands 12k winch I’ve been eyeing for the last month. The previous buyer said they didn’t like how it looked. I argue the opposite. Just need to paint the cover. Works like a charm, got $150 off also!

Mine has the wireless cable option too. I’ve been reviewing it for a month now and haven’t seen any complaints this far. Stoked to have my own recovery option!

 

Have you got a tree saver and make sure you get that ARB pulley thing I forgot what it's called so you can winch off a tree to the left of you or to the right of you instead of straight ahead all the time

 

I’ll have to look into that for sure. Now just need to find a good roof rack

 

Do you have a double cab or access cab

 

If you're on a budget looking to the hooke on Amazon they're right under 300 bucks and they're built pretty strong and work pretty good I have one

You're going to be stuck in the same situation I was in prisu makes a roof rack for the access cab but it's like over $800 and why are you going to pay that much for half a roof rack because that's what they do is cut down to double cab one to make it fit the access cap so I'm showing you the hookie roof rack because it's cheaper and you're going to have to cut it and modify it like I did which is the easy part the hard part is drilling the holes in the roof of your truck and filling them with silicone so they don't leak later

 

I've done it and I can help you do it if you're down for the challenge it would have been easier with two people anyways I did it by myself and it was a pain in the ass taking the roof rack on and off to Mark the holes

 

That’s too easy though especially if it saves me a few hundred bucks

 

I’ll pr ably save for the sliders next honestly. Smarter choice to go with armor first
