nice, looks like you got a hair on the lens or the sensor near the top and a particle showing in the bottom of both pics.

what do you use to clean it? mine has a small hair, I've been thinking of getting the little rocket blower thingy and try to blow it away.

You can use a blower to clean it up, just make sure you have enough battery when you open the sensor for cleaning. A cleaning swab can be used too with precaution.

For info on cleaning google photographic solutions, It should provide you with all the info you need. I would definitely suggest a giottos blower vs the cheeper alternatives, I have read horror stories about cheeper ones having residue inside and really making a mess out of your sensor. Once you get it clean just remember to change lenses with the camera off and try to limit the time with the lens off. Dust can be a nightmare if you are shooting at f16 or higher and has cost me more time than I want to admit in post.

for sensor cleaning the ONLY thing i would use is the Giottos Rocket Air Blower. Thats what i have, mine came with a cleaning kit, so it was cotton swabs, air blower, microfiber cloth, and some lens cleaning solution. I swear by the Rocket air blower, and i wouldnt use anything else....

check this video out to clean the lens.

for the sensor, if you dont know what youre doing...take it to a professional. its worth it, i promise. The last thing you want is to damage your sensor....

What the "jerk" said is the best way but if you have "welded on " dust try this method. Please note you have to be super careful and do not reuse the pad. If you are not sure you can do it just send your camera back to the manufacture or a qualified repair facility. If you scratch your sensor be ready to pay the 400-500 fee. I always wet clean mine when I need to and have had good luck but do know there is a slight risk. So in short try the air first than proceed with caution what ever you choose.

Knock on wood I have done it quite a few dozen times and had great luck. Its really pretty simple (seams way easier than installing new upper arms for example). I try to have nikon do it when possible but If I am in the islands its not always possible, For example I was on a 10 day boat trip and the humidity pretty much welded the dust to the sensor. I was not going to clone dust out of that many shots. I will say its not for everyone and I am happy when the blower gets it but usually am not that lucky. Again if you are a little freaked out by the idea DONT try it. Remember you are just cleaning the aa filter in front of the sensor and not actually touching the sensor.

Finally got some pics of my bike. I know my backgrounds are terrible, I need to bring the camera next time we go riding so I can have something other than a wood pile in the background lol.

Also I can't believe how much you can fix a messed up shot when shooting RAW. I completely (so I thought) blew out the cinder block wall behind the wood pile but just using DPP I was able to fix it pretty well I think, especially for a beginner.
