I wonder what you did to piss off Thor? I would invest in a better grounding system as Cap suggested.

If you can do it, I highly recommend installing storage racks above the garage doors. We have 10' ceilings in the garage, and that is pretty much wasted space, without the racks.

If you haven't signed a contract with a roofing company, hit me up for a reference. You'll be glad you did.

A little something every chance we get.
:pccoffee: Good Morning ATX! The weather going to be bizarre the rest of the week! It's going to be beautiful, in between when it's NOT! Good luck in advance everyone.
After nearly a month, Little Big Red will come home today, with an entirely new AC. Yes, almost every component. :spending: What caused the problems when all the new stuff should have been working? The E-Fan. It's now ripped out, and a new clutch and fan blade in it's place. I have to put a new old shroud in this weekend. Definitely going to be a "phase" in the LBR story......

At least yours doesn't have the timing cover leak! I'm dreading that one :bananadead:

Don't overlook shelves 3' deep at the front of the garage, a good 6" above the hood! The Hood of the car tucks in under the shelves but keeps the floor and parking area clear. Not enough space, time to toss things out!
When was the electric fan installed?

OEM Fans work great when they work. Honda electric fans are incredible for how much air they pull, but a rubber flapper needs to be in place. Highway speed, enough air passes through the radiator, and that rubber flap opens to let air pass. In stop ad go traffic, the fan kicks on, sucking the rubber flap closed, pulling all the air through the radiator & AC condenser. Something still seems odd (I get absent-minded, but if AC was working while driving above 40 mph but not in traffic, it would help explain what happened).

My classic was a rotary-engined Mazda. The fan coupling bolts to the eccentric (crankshaft). We modified the motor to be able to hold 10,000 rpm. Well, the viscous coupling has a bearing in there. Bearings seized. So fan was direct coupled to the engine. Peripheral ported bat out of hell engine. Typically those fans never go over 3,000 rpm. One of the blades let loose at 10,000 RPM. It shook so badly the gear shift knob left black and blue welts on my thigh! We ended up taking the fan off since the drive home was 300 miles of straight highway. All would have been fine, but I failed to shut down the engine at the one railroad crossing, and it cooked. Still drove home, but the next morning all the aluminum rotor housings were toast and couldn't hold water. Cast iron, aluminum, cast iron, aluminum, cast iron like making a club sandwich!

According to Toyota, it does. According to the lack of drips anywhere, it's not serious enough to worry me.

I'm excited for this as well! The new garage ceilings are 1-2ft higher than the current ones so we can actually do this

If you buy some, I recommend the Gladiator brand. My neighbor bought another brand, and the base was fully assembled, rather than the welded wire type that Gladiator sells. When we installed his, he had a problem with one of the bolts, so I was on a ladder, holding the base in place with my back, while he was laying on it. He's not a big dude, but I'm not young, either. With Gladiator, you hang the framework, then toss the welded wire base in place. Much easier.

Yeah, he was laying up there for about 5 minutes, and I have three herniated discs in my lower back. Not fun. I had rec'd the Gladiator product to him before he bought what he did, and it was out of stock. I did my install myself, there is no way he could have, as you have have to manhandle that section, while bolting it in.

I've got a similar setup in my garage as well. I have a buddy who did the install for me. Be sure to not put stuff near the edge where it could fall off and smash the windshield on your Tesla.

They quoted me 1900$ for a 1 step paint correction and ceramic coat for my taco and the camper shell. Seems a bit high to me. Thoughts?
