I have the Fuel M18 impact driver and drill and am in love with them. Does anyone have the mid-torque or high-torque Fuel 1/2” impact wrench? I’m curious if anyone who has wrenched on our trucks has needed more than what the mid-torque has to offer (with a 5 ah battery)? Going to pull the trigger on one and retire my air gun.

I wrench on a lot of Tacoma’s. 99% of the time I use a stubby m12 impact. Only thing that gives it issue is over torqued lugnuts. I use the high torque m18 in those instances but a mid torque would handle them just fine. I don’t think I could get away with the m12 stubby if I was working on fullsized trucks, mid torque would probably be the ticket there

Thanks guys! Only issue is I found this deal that seems to be really good but it comes with the high torque. We’re buying a house at the end of the year and it’d be good to have another impact driver. I’m new to searching for tool deals so I’m not sure if there’s another bundle out there.

@kairo’s guest house having a water with @not_nick
    Under development
HD has really good deals every couple months where something like that kit will come with another battery or you’ll just buy the impact wrench kit and get the impact driver free. If you can wait, that’s what I’d look for.

I haven't needed more than the M12 stubby 1/2" torque wrench on my truck.

Unless you need it, the high-torque is a waste of money. It's a fantastic tool, and if you're wrenching on heavy equipment, or you need to drive 3/4x18 lags, it's worth it, otherwise it's excess capacity. The mid-torque and the stubby are the best for everyday shade-tree mechanic-ing, and the M18 & M12 impact drivers are the best for home handyman stuff; I actually use my M12 driver way more than my M18 simply because it does 90% of what the M18 does, and weighs half as much.

As a profession mechanic I have m12 3/8 stubby, m18 1/2 mid torque and high torque, I only use the high torque maybe three times a week for axle nuts and the like, I run 5ah batteries in both m18 and 4ah in the m12.

I love the m12 3/8 right angle impact, I dont use it a lot but its great when I do need it, just don't compare it to the m12 stubby as its not nearly as strong.

So i have a bunch of M12 and M18 gear. My little M12 Compressor bit the dust after about 10 uses. Has anybody else had issues with these? I was initially really impressed. Of course i cant locate the receipt, Christmas present from the wife and she never seems to be able to keep receipts. I liked it so much though, i already bought another and this receipt is not going anywhere. Its real handy pumping up the kids bikes and such, or if you roll up to the trailer and a tire is low, like always.

You dont need the receipt for Milwaukee warranties, you can call the 800 number and have them check the serial number. Its like a car dealer running the vin to check if its still under warranty.

That tool has a 3 year warranty, if you have it take it to an authorized repair place, they should be able to honor the repair based on the serial number manufacture date.

If it’s anything like the M18 chainsaw, it’s a winner!

Don't have m12 or m18 chainsaw, I would rather the m18 saw if I bought one, the m12 just seems to small and I would rather spend more to get the m18.
I have a m18 fuel recip saw with diablo 12 inch pruning blades, its nothing compared to a real chainsaw but I love it for cutting up to 8 inch diameter branches.

Got it, love it. Best gardening tool I have. You can also fit the longer bar from the pole saw. Highly recommended

The big plus for the m12 Hatchet is one handed operation. A bit plus if you’re actually using it as a pruning saw.

I like the M12 Hatchet. My wife loves it. When it comes to pruning larger branches it’s much easier for her than traditional loppers.
