My landlord said I could take this rain saturated carpet out, maybe if I'm lucky I won't have to put it back.

 

People with nice sealed basements and idiots asking for trouble.

I'm surprised they're in business. Must make a killing selling shifter bushings. Seems like they never have anything else in stock.

Kind of surprised Trail Gear hasn't bought them out, or maybe they've tried

 

Popular opinion seems to be that they over-promise and under-deliver.

I saw the Tacoma on my way to the bagel shop, so I told Todd about it and he told me they're in Fresno. Just so happens I was only four or five minutes away so I stopped by.

Storefront is closed though, and they're not taking in on any work as I called to ask.

 

I will say their 4G4R long travel kit looks really bad ass

 

Yeah just look at this thread that's currently active... Last couple pages are roasting Marlin pretty good. Some people have put big money down on a kit that was promised a long time ago

They've had this reputation long before Covid too

 

I believe Marlin turned down the opportunity in the past.

Sucks that they used to be "the best" but it seems like they've resisted scaling to be able to keep up with the demand for their products

 

I can understand wanting to remain a small family owned operation and all, but they keep teasing everyone with new, innovative products and kits (like the thread I posted above) and then they just ghost everyone after building up a bunch of hype

 

Picked up a Sony A500 on FB for $200. Comes with 2 extra batteries, a charger, USB. I just need something better than my cell phone cam. The pictures are getting crummier by the day. If I can get a couple of years out of it I'll be happy.

 

It's one thing to tease the public about new upcoming products and doing what you stated.

Seems these guys actually "sold" said products without really delivering.

I had to stop bringing my actual camera on most trail runs because it was getting beat to crap, then again its a bigger/heavier DSLR. Just be very cautious with changing out the lenses, I can tell you from experience cleaning sensors is no fun lol. Especially when you scratch one on a camera worth more than your truck and that has to get sent to Sweden for repair (<--luckily it was the company's credit card)

 

I stopped bringing my camera for the longest time cause I had sensor issues from getting shit in there. I only have a lowly T4i but I'm gonna start bringing it again because Im going to buy a 5Dsr for my non so rough photo work.
