    which one is 5.1????
    is it
    Readable?
    V5.1 V5.2
    V5.3 V5.4
    or
    Japanese?
    V5.3 V5.1
    V5.4 V5.2
    or
    clockwise like?
    V5.4 V5.1
    V5.3 V5.2
    or
    counter clockwise?
    V5.2 V5.1
    V5.3 V5.4
    or
the 34th dimension of the Hypercube?
    V5.1,2,3,4... V5.2,3,4,1... V5.3,4,1,2... V5.4,1,2,3...
    V5.2,3,4,1... V5.3,4,1,2... V5.4,1,2,3... V5.1,2,3,4...
    V5.3,4,1,2... V5.4,1,2,3... V5.1,2,3,4... V5.2,3,4,1...
    V5.4,1,2,3... V5.1,2,3,4... V5.2,3,4,1... V5.3,4,1,2...

There may be an infinite combination but it's a countable infinite number that is "V5.1"
some infinities are bigger than others
    :annoyed:

Just give me V4! 21 votes wanted V4!

Best to just let the neural net figure it out from the next 10k posts. Worked out great for Microsofts Tay

Does anyone here use an InReach or SPOT device, or have a good recommendation one way or another?. Been looking at getting one this year as I am often camping (by taco, canoe or foot) out of cellular service and where people probably wont be coming by anytime soon.

Right now leaning toward the InReach Mini (on sale till the end of the month) over SPOT offerings because of this post. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/death-valley-off-road-adventures.60777/page-241#post-25498003

Don't own but really considering trying zoleo.

After all the reviews I've read most say stay away from spot that the service is terrible.

Zoleo from what I understand is owned by Garmin and uses the same satellite network as in reach

    Ranger tow strap came in!

I was going to go for a kinetic rope but I don't intend to actually need or use said recovery gear, so I spent half the amount on a regular old tow strap for space savings. :)

Quit using titanium coated and get proper black oxide jobber bits. Titanium is better for stainless.

Also use a vice and drill a smaller hole first then go to whatever size you need. Cutting oil makes a huge difference as well. If you really want to spend the money Walter makes a special cutting wax that makes drilling heavy steel like butter

Make sure your drill is also on the screw setting with the clutch so if the bit gets caught it won't snap your wrist or the bit.

I've drilled and tapped I beams like that with ease.

Just saw those come up in a Amazon search. Looks like an irriduim (in reach network) version of the spot Gen4. I know SOS would still work w/o a smartphone but having 2-way comms with the emergency responders could be another layer of save your (or responders) ass. Having a basic display still allows this even if your phone takes a dump. Maybe I'm creating necessity, lol

Not disagreeing. Just a little cheaper and plans are easier on the wallet.

From what I understand spot is patchy for service so when you need it. Might not even work

As long as it has some stretch you're fine. If not, well it will work but it's hard on the recovery points

Honestly did not check for stretch...bought based off @llamasmurf recommendation for Ranger equipment...mind you he did recommend the kinetic rope..

i have alot of experience with Spot and no complaints with staying connected/sending messages/tracking/etc but the customer service is beyond horrible. i havent owned an Inreach mini but i have friends that have them and have seen them in action. That looks like the best value right now.

Wonder if it's a US/Europe issue as most of the reviews I saw were from there. The customer service I've heard from everyone hahahaha.

But some reason I doubt Garmin is any better

Drove a new Sahara MT6 week or so ago. Stopped to chat with the neighbour, felt like the bitch was gonna flip whilst parked on a flat surface.

BTW, folks who think the taco MT is odd best try the new Sahara. Geared better but still wierd
