I took a fantastic off-road class last weekend and realize I need to replace my running boards with sliders. Looking for suggestions!! TIA

That’s great you took a class! Welcome to the better side of the road. It all depends on where you live, Shipping usually is quite a bit so maybe you can save some money there if you’re close to a good builder. I would start my question with location first.

I have liked my SOS sliders.
If you are east coast, check them out.

Well now that people are starting to list builders, guess we’re all going to play where do you live guessing game. So if you are in Southern California, Ryan does installs and has really well-built stuff including bolt on and weld on sliders that are rock solid. He also does lifts and other work too. @Shmellmopwho

if you’re in Delaware, @Mobtown Offroad has really nice stuff too, and if you’re in the bay area Bay Area Metal Fabrication @JLee also has nice stuff also.

Whatever type you get, try to get one from a good and reputable local builder, definitely nice to support the neighbors!

    Looks nice

I hope I like the Mob Town… no word on delivery yet from Black Friday. But lots of places are way behind and likely will be this year.

Bunch of stuff bolted on, some cool, some not
I've got the Cali Raised Rock Sliders on my truck and have been super happy with them. They bolt on without any drilling in the frame and have been rock solid. I did the same thing as you, I put step bars on and then realized 3 months later that sliders is what I actually needed.

I went with 4XInnovations weld-ons out of Wisconsin. Domestic DOM tubing $415 shipped. They do require some fab & layout. If you can run a wire feed and read a tape measure, it's a fun little project. I coated them with some Herculiner from Lowes for $25 a can (the gloss in the pic goes away). Cheap and easy to touch up. They're stout as hell.

Don't spend a grand on sliders...they're way overpriced.

I'm content with them. Nice step when I need to use it as such. The lights are a nice touch. Victory4x4 is behind. I ordered a bumper from them in January and just got it last week.

I think your friend is "common; let's go down more trails!"

Glad to see I am not the only one who got a DC to give his friends more room in the back seat.
